I know judges have a lot of latitude on what they say while presiding, which is a good thing when they are demonstrating their abject ignorance about the Bill of Rights. Multnomah County Circuit Judge Kenneth Walker needs somebody to mail him a copy of the Constitution.

Let it be a warning to everybody: Just because they are wearing a black robe, does not mean they know about Justice.

  1. We’d save more lives if we took all lawyers and judges, put them on a barge and send them to Australia. Yeah, that sounds right.

  2. That is one dangerous and disillusional judge. His fantasy is unrealistic and his info on Australia is dead wrong.

  3. As has been noted so often, the anti-gunners live in a fantasy land.

Just like Socialists and Libertarians, their idealism just does not work when real people are involved.

For example, remember that 4% of all humans are psychopaths, without any morals or compassion or empathy for their fellow humans. They actually feel better when contemplating another human’s pain or misfortune. The dumb ones get caught breaking the law quite often, but the smart ones prey upon other humans for years, sometimes decades, before they are caught committing a crime. Not every psychopath is a serial killer, but every serial killer is a psychopath. One person out of 25 is a psychopath. You probably know one.

And these idealists think that, by disarming all the law-abiding citizens, the land would be safer. How idiotic is that?

  4. Oddly section 27 of the Bill of Rights in his own states Constitution give the people of Oregon the right, that this judge wants to get ride of:

    QUOTE
The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence [sic] of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power[.]

  5. His postulation that there would be 33,000 fewer deaths per year if firearms were obliterated is absurd. No doubt, *some* of the 22,000 suicides and 11,000 homicides would not occur if there were no firearms, but certainly actions would be transferred to other methods.

  6. That’s OK Your Honor. Guns are a 600+ year old technology which for most of that time were manufactured using tools and materials inferior to what you can find at your local Lowe’s or Home Depot. If your wish should come to pass, we’ll just make more.
