From NPR:

Amid Protests And Virus Fears, Firearm Background Checks Hit All-Time High

The FBI reported that Americans set a new record of 3.9 million background checks to purchase or possess firearms in June. That eclipsed the previous record set in March of 3.7 million background checks.

The actual number is 3,931,607.

That’s a lot of guns.

To put that in perspective, the two largest militaries in the world are China (2 million) and India (1.4 million).

Last month Americans bought more guns than it would take to provide a firearm to two largest militaries on Earth, combined.

Good job America.

  1. If only I could find ammo not at a 50% markup if at all.

One of the strange things I’ve noticed though at least personally I can find .22lr relatively easily.

    1. In the PNW Bi-Mart has been selling whatever is in stock at near normal prices. I got a .30 cal ammo box pack of Federal M193 for $168 a few weeks (420 rounds on stripper clips), they have also had .22 bricks and 9mm and .38 at reasonable prices

  2. From Lord of War

There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That’s one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other eleven?

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
