The Sun Sentinel is the official Party paper of South Florida after the shriveling of the Miami Herald. Their campaign against DeSantis is nothing short of fanatical and partisan. I believe that if they could help send Republicans and Trump people to serve time in the middle of the Everglades, they would do so in a second.

Which is why we get headlines like the one above. Nobody goes to prison to serve a sentence just because they are being charged with a crime. It seems the Sun Sentinel wants Due Process to be eliminated to expedite “Justice” or at least that is their fervent wish.

    Yes, a news outlet should be a LOT more careful about the words they choose, but honestly, the sentence is not that bad. Charged and convicted are two separate things, but it is impossible to get convicted unless you have first been charged.

    So, technically, it is not incorrect. She could get up to five years if she is charged, and those charges lead to a conviction.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
