People, especially liberals/progressives/communists/democrats only “boycott” things that are easy to give up. Sure, they talk big, but when the rubber meets the road, they will completely and totally ignore their commitment to boycott.
What they do not understand is that boycotts are supposed to hurt. Boycotts are supposed to involve self sacrifice. If you never purchase Starbucks, or if you prefer a different brand and only buy Starbucks when there is no other choice, boycotting them is meaningless because they never had your business in the first place.
Boycotting for a single day is not going to hurt either you or the company in any way, therefore, it cannot be considered a boycott.
You would think their pro-gay marriage stance would earn them a pass. Nope. Liberals eat their own at the first sign of diversity of thought.
I still maintain that the problem is Liberals don’t pay for anything, they try to make Conservatives pay for everything.
So when Liberals boycott a company, the company doesn’t lose any real customers and in fact reduces their overhead.
When Conservatives boycott somebody, they lose actual paying customers.
