28% of Democrats Say It Should Be Illegal to Join the NRA
The National Rifle Association is America’s largest gun rights organization with more than five million members. But a sizable number of Democrats views it as a terrorist group and believes it should be against the law for Americans to belong to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA.
That is the logical extension of San Francisco declaring it a domestic terrorist organization.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that nearly one-out-of-three Likely Democratic Voters (32%) favor declaring the gun rights group a terrorist organization in the community where they live. Fourteen percent (14%) of Republicans and 20% of voters not affiliated with either major party agree.
Did you catch that 14% of Republican thing? That’s not surprising considering what some Florida Republicans did after Parkland. Even those who were not stepping out on their husbands with their Democrat counterparts. Just because they have an R after their name doesn’t mean they are on our side.
Twenty-eight percent (28%) of Democrats say Americans should be prohibited by law from belonging to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA, a view shared by 15% of Republicans and 10% of uanffiliateds.
Among all likely voters, 23% favor declaring the NRA a terrorist organization in their home community, while 18% think it should be against the law to belong to pro-gun rights groups like the NRA.
More than one-in-four Democrats believe it should be illegal to be part of a political organization that champions gun rights.
Here is the kicker.
Only 13% believe NRA members are more likely to commit a crime with a gun. A plurality (47%) says members of the group are less likely to commit such a crime, while 28% think the level of gun crime by NRA members is about the same as in the population at large. Twelve percent (12%) are undecided.
Nearly half of all people asked say that individual NRA members are less criminally inclined than the average person but still, it should be illegal for them to be members.
This shows that clearly the designation of the NRA as a terrorist organization is not based on the NRA being physically dangerous but politically dangerous.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
That is what the NRA is, an organization that peaceably assembles to petition the government for a redress fo grievances.
In a world where words are “literally violence” peaceably assembling and petitioning the government for a redress of grievances is terrorism.
Honestly, listening to the current Democrat party, this doesn’t surprise me. The Soviet Union, Maoist China, Castro’s Cuba, and the Khmer Rouge all sent citizens to prisons, gulags, and death camps for disagreeing politically with the Left’s orthodoxy. The desire to imprison and punish people for holding differing opinions runs strong on the Left.
So what’s next?
Will San Francisco try and get donor lists from the NRA and arrest any resident of the city who gave money to the NRA? Or maybe they will ask neighbors, Mail Carriers, and garbage men to look out for homes that get and throw away copies of American Rifleman.
Is that sufficient to get a person Red Flagged or maybe a SWAT team will do an early morning no-knock raid against them for being in a domestic terrorist cell?
Given the push for Red Flag laws and cancel culture, this is actually very scary.
I look at this as furthering the process of “othering” gun owners, so that it’s easy to justify antifa attacking or killing us. Or anyone beside antifa.
After all, if you’re a domestic terrorist, who cares? Killing terrorists is what we do. What are all those smart bombs doing in Syria and Iraq anyway?
Plus, they’re using the domestic terrorist tag to get the city to legally threaten any business that sells anything gun owners might want.
To the liberal mind, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian mullahs, etc., are OK.
But the NRA — the nation’s oldest civil rights organization — are terrorists.
Since they already consider the NRA to be a terrorist organization, do they really want it to start acting like one?
Actually, don’t answer that; they probably do. Then the Fed Gubmint could roll in the tanks and drones and engage in some good old-fashioned, Soviet-style ideological genocide. But not really genocide, more like pest extermination, because gun owners are all sub-human vermin anyway.

I think its a sort of institutional genetic memory. The NRA armed and trained those targeted by the Democrat’s terrorist arm, the KKK, and today’s Democrats are still angry over it.
The Church of Joe McCarthy of the Latter-Day Stalinists does not tolerate dissenting views. Especially conspiracies to hold dissenting views.
What percentage of Democrats believe Republicans should be outlawed? What will that number be in another year, or two?

Here is some more insane hyperbole.
I would say 1/2 of far left progressives want all gun outlawed with the door to door confiscation and execution of all gun owners and there families. Tell them that’s impossible without all out civil war and the government killing off a massive part of the population via nuclear holocaust they would be fine with it. The other half would be killed since I think even SOME progressive would not think genociding the country as s good thing. There numbers are very small though. But the side that will be in power in 6-7 years will be of the mindset “kill every single solitary living being on the planet that opposes me in any way and if that means killing all 7 billion people on the planet we’ll thats fine since they are all subhuman parasites in need of total annihilation.”
It sounds crazy but there is a good portion of far left progressive that literally view the human race as a parasite or infection on the planet that needs to be wiped out.
Oh. Right. You mean, sociopaths. No conscience, no empathy, self above all others.
Given the actions of one member of my own family, well, to the extent that he is typical left wing, I am not surprised.
