Contrary to what you may have seen on TV, you ain’t bulletproof.
You see the “victim” running right at the beginning of the video and collapsing. Took what seems to be a grazing shot to the right side of the head.

I’m pretty sure that guy is one of the ones who died, blood coming out of the nose is usually not a good sign and I doubt would have happened with a graze.
Never apply pressure to a head wound. If there is a skull fracture you can compress the brain and kill the person. The scalp is filled with capillaries. It will make a bloody mess but not bleed enough to cause death.
