Well, as a radar designer, let me just say something about your last sentence. Radar has improved dramatically in those 95 years as digital processing has improved. Radar signal processing is really something to see these days.
Wow. I didn’t realize radar is that old. It’s somewhat known that the microwave version enabled by magnetrons around WW2 wasn’t the first radar, but 15 years earlier I had no expected.
I should know better, having tried to convince Wikipedia content cops (without success) to correct the article about FM radio to say that it was invented (in Holland) in 1919, not in the mid 1930s in the USA.
