Info still too confusing to make heads or tails. Bodies still on the ground but that has not stopped the Opposition to do their Tap Dancing on Blood.

And one in particular pissed me off.

The PS was not in the original FB post, but goes without saying.

The rest of us, human beings will simply pray for the victims and their families.

  1. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-OR, said in a statement “Once we know more about what happened today, I plan to work with my colleagues in Congress to find ways to prevent tragedies such as these.”

    Vultures is right.

  2. Oregon public colleges are mostly gun-free zones. Courts ruled they cannot avoid state preemption law (ORS 166.170), but they can have contractual rules that apply to faculty staff, employees, students, and contracted companies.
A person that has no ties to the public college can carry a firearm (especially with a CHL), but guarentied that they would try to say you are “disrupting” the college learning experiance and go for a trespassing charge (shouldn’t hold up in court, but who wants to go though the system… time & money).
Note: this community college has a higher average age (like 30ish) and you have to be 21 to get a CHL.
Sad that these rules keep CHL holding students / staff from carrying, might have had someone (especially former military) who could have responded sooner and kept the body count lower.
Expect the Oregon legislature and anti-gunners to push for more restrictive laws no matter if they would have any effect on this or other shootings.

    1. Shooter was apparently 20 years old, too young to qualify for a CHL.

Also too young to buy his own handguns, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they were unlawfully obtained; they could have been purchased by a family member and gifted to him.

I have a gut feeling that he stole them from family, however, but that has not been reported. Just a feeling.

  3. Even allowing concealed carry on campus would not do much to improve the safety of students at community colleges where almost all the students range between 17-20.
Even at this early stage when almost nothing is known it is probably safe to say that this was not some spur of the moment outburst and that there were “signs” that were ignored. I’m willing to bet that at least some of those that ignored the “signs” are CSGV/MDA supporters if not card-carrying members.
There needs to be a way to make mental health services available without allowing the system to turn into a witch hunt fed by the frenzy of the hoplophobic fears of the CSGV/MDA mob.

    stay safe.

  4. obama “for those of you who don’t like guns and demand common sense gun laws, you need to make sure your views are reflected by the congressmen in washington. For you gun owners, you need to think about whether or not your views are being represented the way you like by the organization that speaks for you”

    How… interesting…

  5. Waiting to see what the rest of the story is… Unlike BO getting up there and prattling about gun control… Dancing in the blood…

  6. The shooter was executing Christians. Everytown are denouncing him? He was ONE OF THEM. He was doing their work, murdering Christians and conservatives and right-wing gun nuts. What are they complaining about? They should be proud of him. They should be congratulating him that he managed to take down 10 Republican voters who won’t be able to oppose them anymore.

Typical Liberal scum. Cause the problem, promise to fix it, make it worse.

  7. I was disgusted by Obozo yapping about gun control before they even had the bodies picked up. It’s never too early to start the blood dance. Even Biden got in on the dance. Politicians disgust me.
