Help the Gun Owners of Virginia by shutting the hell up.

general message to the Chest Thumpersâ„¢: Your Call Of Duty chants to go to war in Virginia while you sit comfortably in your mom’s basement, are not helping. You are playing into the narrative that is already created by the Democrats and the Media and has been used as excuse by Governor Ralph Northam to declare a State of Emergency.

And stop wishing for the shooting to start: This is not what Lobby Day is about and specially when your ass is thousands of miles away from Richmond.  Once that switch is flipped, the comfortable life that you have right now will cease to exist and you will be officially member of the Enemy.  Is your ass ready to be chased out of town by your own neighbors? Oh wait, you thought Civil War 2 was going to be some sort of reprise of Blue versus Gray? Man, are you in for a surprise. In a country that is now mostly urban and suburban, CW2 will be more likely to look like Bosnia. Instead of thinking Bull Run, try Sarajevo.

I am not saying we will not face a moment when the hammers must drop, but right now and in Virginia? Not quite yet and not all avenues have been exhausted, so top wising for bodies to fall as you are playing directly into the evil caricature the Opposition is displaying about us.

Be the Indian, Not the Buffalo

Via Sebastian.

The more I ponder the mass demonstration being promoted by the Virginia Citizens Defense League for the annual Lobby Day at the Richmond Capitol, the more it looks like a disaster in the making. I wish it were otherwise, but I see many times more downside risk than possible upside benefit.

RICHMOND: THE MOTHER OF ALL BUFFALO JUMPS – Matt Bracken

Read the whole thing, please.

“me percentage of the Second Amendment crowd (or anti-gun trolls posing as such in order to discredit them) will show up wearing camouflage while waving long guns,”

I am sure it will happen. The amount of political blindness on our side to the Optics the media wants to capture to ridicule us is just amazing.  There is a reason why the Democrats are feeling bold enough to even restrict Open Carry more in the State of Florida.

Florida Gun Rights 2020 – SPB 7028 – Mandatory Bill of Sale for Private Sales of Firearms – No UBC – BAD BILL

SPB 7028 recommended by:
Infrastructure and Security
On agenda for: 01/13/20   3:30 PM
Submitted as Committee Bill and Reported Favorably (final action)

Votes: Yeas 7   Nays 0

All the Republicans voted to report favorably on the bill. But wait! There is more! The bill was modified to impose background checks at gun shows for private sales.

Feeling safe now?

I have the feeling the stuff happening in Virginia will end up being an anecdote compared to what I fear it will rain upon us.

Read the Text of the Bill

I must have missed this bill in the original run, but IO do have listed the House Version HB 311 (Bad Bill).

Same as in the House version, the original Senate bill was in conflict with the updating of Use of Deadly Force for Self Defense to include Threatening to Use Deadly Force . The Committee Substitute now carves a legal niche for self defense.

This version was voted Yeas 7 & Nays 0 in the Infrastructure and Security Committee.  So it will either cancel out HB 311 or the House will also do a correction to carve the self defense niche.

Till the House does the change, I will only grade this as Acceptable.  Just don’t want to count the chickens just yet.
