So I see that “192 Republicans” is trending because 192 Republicans voted against the HR 7790 bill for supplemental funding for the FDA.

Twitter, which is still a Leftist disinformation site, is full of tweets saying the “Republicans voted against funding baby formula.”

CNN had an article which says this:

One of the bills passed by the House Wednesday evening — HR 7790 — would provide $28 million in emergency funding for the US Food and Drug Administration in an effort to help alleviate the current shortfall and head off future shortages. The bill was approved by a tally of 231 to 192.
The emergency funding would be used to increase the number of FDA inspection staff, provide resources for personnel working on formula issues, help the agency stop fraudulent baby formula from entering the US marketplace, and improve data collection on the formula market, according to a release from the House Appropriations Committee.

“This bill is the first step to help restock shelves and end this shortage,” House Appropriations Chair Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat who introduced the legislation, said in a statement.
“Parents and caretakers across the country cannot wait — they need our support now. This bill takes important steps to restore supply in a safe and secure manner. Additionally, with these funds, FDA will be able to help to prevent this issue from occurring again,” she said.

I read the bill.

It provides $28 million to hire people to be inspection staff.

The money is for FDA salaries.

Tell me how this solves the problem of the formula shortage now.

They have to hire people, train them, put they through a probationary period, etc.

This money today might have more inspectors out in a year.

All the FDA has to do is let Abbott turn their factory back on since they didn’t find the contamination in the factory.

But that doesn’t justify new bureaucracy appropriations.

Not one dollar of this funding buys quality overseas formula from Europe.

Not one dollar goes to helping parents afford formula.

It’s salaries for bureaucrats that won’t start doing a job for a year.

This is a shakedown using a crisis as a cover.

The real shame is the 12 Republicans who voted for it, not the 192 who voted against it.

This is bullshit.

The U.S. government is bracing for a potential surge in political violence once the Supreme Court hands down the ruling that’s expected to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a Department of Homeland Security memo obtained by Axios.

The big picture: Law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics.

Details: The unclassified May 13 memo by DHS’ intelligence arm says threats that followed the leak of a draft opinion — targeting Supreme Court Justices, lawmakers and other public officials, as well as clergy and health care providers — “are likely to persist and may increase leading up to and following the issuing of the Court’s official ruling.”

“Some racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists’ embrace of pro-life narratives may be linked to the perception of wanting to ‘save white children’ and ‘fight white genocide,'” the memo also says.

But the memo warns that this time, extremist acts could come from abortion-rights proponents as well.

The official position of the administration is that White Supremacy is the biggest threat for the country.  Therefore they need to attach it to everything they can no matter how absurd it may seem.

The Biden administration has “paused” its controversial plans to create a Disinformation Board, causing its would-be leader to resign.

In a statement Wednesday, Nina Jankowicz, the “disinformation expert” tapped to head the panel, said that “[w]ith the Board’s work paused and its future uncertain, and [sic] I have decided to leave DHS [the Department of Homeland Security] to return to my work in the public sphere.” Jankowicz’s departure and the decision to scrap the board was first reported by the Washington Post.

The board had been the subject of weeks of backlash from Republicans, libertarians and even some liberals, who likened the scheme to the Ministry of Truth from George Orwell’s classic novel “1984.”

Not a majority or even a lot, just “some” and that is not just a deviated perception but what you could see and feel coming out the Liberal camp: Either strident voices of support or a deep hole of silence. Was it perhaps induced by the fear of being “re-educated” in the future because of dissension against the Party? Plain intellectual cowardice? Or just goose-stepping because you deeply agree in silencing contrarian opinions, but you were amaze at how many “brutes” came against it and fear they may cancel you.

Recording studios are probably the one place with tens of thousands of stories that never get told outside the inner circle of Recording Engineers. We all learned soon enough that at the end of the day, you are getting paid to deliver a sound and the business is cutthroat enough you are not to give a shit how it is achieved. Manipulating the musicians and singers to achieve that sound? Oh hell yes, we all have done that.  Inflicting physical pain? Not by yours truly…well, not quite as painful, but there was the one asshole who broke our cardinal rule of no fucking drugs in our studio ever! and was caught coming out of the bathroom with a nose resembling a powdered donut. Let’s say that for a proper “tossing the asshole out of the front door” you must open such metal door first and I “forgot” to do so three times. The rest of the people present became quite productive and enjoyable to work with which is not always the case with musicians.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) – Middle Tennessee State University officials, confirmed the shooting of two people Wednesday night.

Police confirmed the death of one person in the shooting at MTSU Wednesday evening during the Riverdale High School graduation at Murphy Center. They also said another was injured in the incident and is now in critical condition.

Investigators said the two people were shot near the tennis courts. It is unknown at this time whether either victim was a student.

“Tonight’s shooting is a tragedy for our community: we mourn with the family who lost a loved one and the family of the person injured,” said Police officials.

Rutherford County Schools District Public Information Officer James Evans said Riverdale High School would be closed tomorrow as a safety measure.

I have not stepped in a school of any type since I began carrying concealed about 2 decades ago. I have not even visited my old Alma Mater in Nasville because according to the law, I am a “risk” and a “threat” to the poor kids inside.

In the meantime, the criminal element has no problems breaking the law and making people dead and wounded inside any campus in the nation.
