Christopher Hayes of MSNBC was shocked by the fact that the majority of Americans do want immigrants to learn English.

I can understand why this is so shocking to him.

It’s not like he has conversations with these people that are longer than “wash windows” while pointing and pantomiming.

When the help is not supposed to talk, does it really matter what language they speak?

  1. Well if the immigrants end up learning English they could be promoted to jobs NOT washing dishes, sweeping floors, and emptying waste paper baskets, and start making good money….and paying insane amounts of taxes on it….and voting Republican.

That would be bad, must keep the “lower castes” Down.

  2. I taught myself Classical Latin. I also have been teaching myself Ancient Hebrew. There is no reason to be ignorant. There is no shame for being ignorant. It can be fixed with education. Either formal or self study. Stupidity cannot be fixed.

  3. One of the employees who works where I get my haircuts told me that she had just become a US citizen and was looking forward to her first gun purchase.
She emigrated from a Central American country.

  4. I live and work in another country most of the year, and it’s a matter of courtesy to understand that nation’s language and culture. To understand and follow their laws.
