We didn’t quite play Tetris with our three mini-containers… mainly because a lot of my stuff is heavy, and I was concerned about PODS’s weight limit. Had we not been constrained by the per-container weight limit, we might well have packed everything at maximum density into two containers.
There was a fair amount of fun in trying to arrange things so they wouldn’t shift. A lot of quarter-sheets of fiberboard were involved, and plenty of rope.
paper is heavy, when we moved from Missouri to Oregon the truck was heavier than estimated and Mayflower had to eat the cost of hauling my car magazine collection and toolbox.
I still remember hearing the story of the movers comments on one of my co-workers moving from SLC to NH. A very full truck, and a large portion of it was food. Yes, observant Mormons, with a full year worth of necessities for the whole family.
