The missus and I are fans of several Youtube channels that show police activity via body worn cameras, dash cams or witnesses’ videos. Many a case, you see LEOs from many jurisdictions take unholy time trying to warn a subject to lay down whatever weapon or doing a tussle trying to arrest them.

But this is South Florida: Too hot, too humid to be wasting time with more than a couple of warnings. And they don’t care about your gender either: You will get it.

Then again the great advantage that the forces in Florida, mostly south of Orlando have is that they are impervious to accusations of White Supremacy and racism. Kinda hard to pull the race card when some departments have over 60% minorities, from rank and file to top cops.

  1. Going to disagree, according to the race hustlers, they’d be ‘Uncle Tom’s’ or ‘White Hispanics’. Just like when the 5 or so black cops beat the crap out of the other black guy, they were all supporting ‘white supremacy’ and ‘institutional racism’ because…. reasons.

  2. How right you are Miguel. In Central Florida counties, there is one mindset within the law enforcement agencies, and that is representing the law-abiding citizens within their jurisdictions. It doesn’t matter what an officer’s ethnicity is, they are all BLUE under the Red White and Blue. The only thing ‘diverse’ with my local law enforcement officers is their donut preferences. Other than that, they’re undistinguishable. We’re all color blind down here and we’ll fight to keep it that way.

  3. Hmm. There may be a time and a place to resist arrest. I won’t start that discussion here, except to note that 5:1 odds is probably not going to lead to successful resistance. Really, what do people think they are going to accomplish?

  4. Code Blue Cam is fun — Wisconsin police use their radios well. If one cop gives up a pursuit for safety, all the surrounding departments are on the lookout for the car and will pick it up from there. They also plan stop-stick placements well.

Arkansas State Police are bulldogs. They won’t give up until you hit the state line, and they WILL pit you. There’s a video of them pit’ing a guy on a motorcycle that I haven’t had the nerve to watch.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
