I have heard about stuff like this since last night. Why are they not having fuel supplies coming with them? Why are they running out of fuel? My uneducated guess is that the Soviet Russian army thought they would be unopposed and refueling from the local supply by the end of day 2. Plus, something they must have learned watching the Taliban fighting the US is that if a ragtag POS army could take out fuel supply convoys without much trouble, their own efforts to send fuel would be decimated by trained Ukranian soldiers.
So, either right now fuel is being sent from the rear at the most expedited way and screw the casualties and loses or the thought of going full razing the towns and salting the ground is being decided. I do believe Putin is the kind of asshole that would go “If I can’t have it, nobody can.”
Another possibility: early rumors had it that some of the Russian troops thought they were participating in a routine exercise near the border, and were very surprised to find themselves in a war on foreign soil.
If this is true, and the invasion plan was kept secret enough up to the last minute and beyond, the logistics people may not have gotten the message. This would be consistent with the reports that Putin is suddenly not right in the head – that he’s gone from smart, rational, and evil to dumb, crazy, and evil. Possibly a result of spike-protein-induced brain damage, or too much time on “social” media.
Nah, he just watched to many recent US-army recruting videos and thought “Fuck it, if they can go nuts I can too!”
My friend told me today on Faux news was a story of a russian armor group stopped and asked for directions to the capital from Ukraine citizens. They said follow us and led them to thier pow camp. Remember when the much feared russians went to trashcanistan to kick its ass?? I saw a story where the ragtag towel heads captured a tank with a can of Cocacola…. They tossed it in an open hatch and yelled grenade in russian and the crew bailed out…I think mother russia will find its different when the oppressed are armed..
