I have been in awe of Rick Wakeman as a musician, since I first heard him in the the earliest days of Yes. This particular piece isn’t high on my list of favorites, but I still listened to the entire video.
Met Rick after a concert once, years ago. He was touring small clubs, and it was one of those divey places, but you got to get right up in front of the stage. (Don’t even think the bar is still there anymore.) A buddy of mine got him to sign his keyboard. Yes, he brought a full sized DX-7 to the show with him. The plan was to hang out and catch Rick as he left, but instead he had a chance to get autographs and meet him after the concert.
Very friendly guy, and great musician.
