Alton Brown came out as a conservative, he’s a good southern boy from Georgia, so that’s not surprising.

Despite denouncing Trump, he was attacked.

It is an outstanding privilege to be a Progressives and just assume that every single person you like thinks, feels, and believes exactly the same way that you do, and when you find out they don’t, to have your admiration for that person because of the positives they brought to your life destroyed.

“I loved what you taught me about cooking as long as I thought that you were in political lockstep with me, but know that I found out your not, I can’t enjoy any of the wonderful memories I had of watching your show or trying your recipes.”

  1. I caught a bit of his YouTube show, and wondered why he chanted “hunterbidenhunterbidenhunterbiden” at one point.

    Shame he’s apparently a never-Trumper.

  2. It’s useless to be a conservative and be on Twitter. Glad my only exposure to that cesspool is when you or other blogs post screen caps. Funny how the party of tolerance has none if you dare have wrongthink. The party against hate will have your very being should you vote the way they don’t like. The party that claims to be anti fascist will make a list and check it twice, in a very fascist manner.

  3. I can understand their disappointment though.
I can’t watch a single movie any longer with Robert DeNiro in it, and enjoy it. Every time I see his face, all I can see and hear is him ranting and chanting against people who don’t think like him. It takes me out of the experience the movie is trying to create.

    1. Except Alton Brown doesn’t go off on political rants — this and the muttered bit about Hunter Biden are the only political words I’ve ever heard from him.

PLUS, those people are just acting on their own bigotries. They’re assuming Alton hates them, based on his stated politics. DeNiro explicitly said he hates us — that’s a different matter.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
