Peace with Israel doesn’t just benefit Israel; it also benefits the other countries by opening up trade.
It’s true the UAE would still be able to get fresh produce like avocados, dates, oranges, etc., without Israel. But it would have to be shipped much further, and so the price would be higher for lower quality (because shipping further means picking WAY before it’s ripe; ripening on the ship is not as good as ripening on the plant).
But for some, Jew-hatred trumps everything, and they’d let their own people suffer higher costs and worse food than acknowledge that Israel is a legitimate nation, normalize relations, and open up markets.
