WTF?
As my Dad used to say, you start adding a few zeroes and pretty soon we’re talking about real money.
I wonder what a “gender program” in Pakistan might be. Is that a program to kill all trans people? Or a program to hunt down and jail lesbians? Those are the sort of programs that come to mind with that title in that country.
My stimulus money will just go straight to taxes, since despite taking the standard deduction and having zero exemptions on my W4, I still seem to owe a small used car every year.
I wonder if there is a line item in there for expenditures on roofing tar, goose down, and 8-12’ long fence rails?
It is funny how the main stream rags have headlines about a $900B COVID Relief/Stimulus package. But the full blown package is $2.3T.
Weird.
The rest is the “omnibus” bill to fund general government operations through next fall, as I understand it. The crap shown above is probably from there.
Brett Baier just pointed out that this bill is 5000 pages long and is being voted on within a day of being introduced. Federalist 62 (Madison) comes to mind:
“It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; … Law is defined to be a rule of action; but how can that be a rule, which is little known, and less fixed?”
