Thats an FN SCAR heavy with that looks like a FLIR thermal optic, or maybe an ATN night vision scope.  Either way that’s $10,000 worth of my tax dollars that fell into the hands of some boy raping savages while my gas prices go up, both because of the ineptitude of our current government.

Fuck!!!

  1. Maybe ineptitude, maybe not; either way you have reason to be angry.

Remember that Biden said in an interview yesterday that the chaos was fully expected, unavoidable, and considered in the decision making.

      1. Way back in the late 1990s when AM was selling Hummers (real ones, not tarted up Suburbans) in a civilian model, I took one for a test drive. Forgot the list prince at the time, but I’m 95% sure it was well above $50k. More likely $80k or so. In 1990. Yes, with AC and a nice radio and nice seats, unlike the military version, but with none of the military upgrades, either.

    1. Surplus ones are going for anywhere from $4k to $40k+ on GovPlanet based on their condition. Lots of them are missing parts (doors/roofs/etc) and no turret on them either.

  2. Y’all looking at this shit all wrong

    Tali love us

In fact, they love US so much they’re sending their ANTIFA and BLM cousins some upgraded toys.

    #sk8bored no more.

Big bores coming to a city near you.

  3. Let’s not forget, these were bought off the GSA schedule, not on the open market. More like $25K for the rifle set up.

  4. The thing to remember is that probably none of the confiscated weaponry will likely be in usable condition in 12 to 18 months. No replacement parts and likely no maintenance will be performed. Making parts for 75 to 100 year old bolt weapons by hand is a bit easier than tooling parts for an M4 or an MRAP.

    1. They had working StG44 rifles in Astan. These rifles were designed to be used maybe 2-3 years. And yet they were used in a shithole country in the other end of the world 70 years after production.

Also if they have enough of such rifles it may be enough for a machine shop to start a small scale production for the few parts that are prone to breaking.

    2. Snuffy, is there any significant difference between an M4 and a 1900-era Mauser? My impression is that, structurally and technologically speaking, no fundamental changes have happened in firearms since John Moses Browning was busy inventing things. Refinements in metallurgy, sure. Changes in material used (plastic vs. steel), sure. But those don’t affect the ability of primitive shops to make useable replacement parts.

      1. I would think that tolerances have decreased. On the other hand, 3d printers are widespread, and I imagine the “new” taliban has likely updated their tech and recruited some savvy young coders, so….all bets are off. But, I still get the feeling that keeping a lot of that gear in running condition is going to be challenging.

        1. Can you name one muslime country that maintains anything moderately high tech? I can’t. Don’t all of them import slaves to do crap for them?

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
