It’s one of those things where when a disaster cascade happens, the people running things just keep making wrong and bad decisions.

Someone, way down the chain, is going to step up and rally the troops, or at least round up the survivors. That person will wind up leading the Democratic party. And hopefully, they’re not part of the nut wing that caused this to happen in the first place.

I guess the difference is if a US Citizen in Afghanistan gets killed, their soylatte life will not be altered in any way, but if they catch the chinese flu, they might feel sick for a few days.
