PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Marquise Love, the man who is accused of kicking a man in the head in during a protest in mid-August, was scheduled to his first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon, but it has been pushed back another week.

Love is charged with assault, coercion and felony riot. Police say he beat and kicked victim Adam Haner following an incident in downtown Portland on August 16. According to officers, Haner was trying to protect someone from being robbed.

After turning himself into police on August 20, Love was originally expected to appear in court on August 24. However, his defense attorneys requested the extension his first court appearance pushed back to Wednesday, September 2 — but on Wednesday morning, KOIN 6 News got word that the court date was pushed back yet again and is now scheduled for September 15.

Love’s bail is set at $260,000.

Court date pushed back for Portland protest assault suspect

I am keeping my eye on this idiot.  I have no idea why his attorney is asking for more extensions, may it be it is waiting for the news cycle to die down so a low bail amount can be obtained?

What has also come out is that Marquise Love was involved in another incident with Michael Reinoehl, the suspected killer of Aaron Danielson.

Birds of a feather and all that, but this movement looks more and more like being sub-contracted to a criminal group of people for violent enforcement/support. And it all sound very Socialists-related because it has been used successfully in other places like Venezuela.

  1. The bail has been set. They might try to get it lowered but that doesn’t happen very often. That particular bail, in my part of the country, is right up there with a murder charge. Kiddy diddler had his bail set at $150,000 which in this area tells everybody in the know “We are damn sure we can convict this dude and no, we didn’t over charge his ass.”

I didn’t know until that case that bail amounts actual tell people in the system things about the charges and the person.

My guess is more of the “We don’t want him in court until after the election.”

  2. On a guess, kick it down the road until they can plea-bargain down to a supervised release or something equally obscene, and not be called out for it.

  3. I’m surprised that the club of rich liberals that’s funding a “bail out terrorists” fund hasn’t yet sent in a $260k check for this guy. They’ve done that sort of thing in other places.

    1. Where there was some measure of anonymity for both the terrorists and the check-writers, they could send checks.

This one, though, went viral, with the geniuses at Reddit and 4chan pulling out all the stops to identify him. There was nowhere for him to hide.

Some of those Reddit-ers and 4chan-ers are unbelievably good at gathering information, reviewing evidence, and connecting dots; my guess is the elites running the bail-out fund don’t want to get on their bad side.

      1. I dunno about the Redditors, but the guys that infest 4chan and Kiwi Farms are disturbingly good at ferreting out details.

Makes me wonder if there’s a future in companies that seed false info about you on the Internet, to muddy the waters.
