Trump needs a VP that can help him win and with his presidency, so let’s check the choices.

Vivek Ramaswamy: As the joke goes around, he is slated to run the White House’s 7/11, but I don’t see him pulling votes in.

Ron DeSantis: Any Democrat leader not too stupid would fear DeSantis as VP. He pretty much made mincemeat of the Democratic Party of Florida. Injected some spine to the legislature (Needs more) and is much better than Trump when it comes to destroy a Lefty Media attacking him. This comes handy for Trump because the Dems would rather have him as a bamboozled GOP version of Biden than actually remove him as President and make De Santis POTUS. DeSantis as VP will lower the risk of removing Trump from office.

Nicky Haley: The female John McCain by the gushing coming out of CNN. Need I say more? That means Democrats will pursue even harder lawsuits and indictments against Trump.

So, my prediction is: Trump will select Nicky Haley as VP.

PS: Also selecting DeSantis may help bring people like me to the voting booth rather than stay at home. Maybe enough votes to overcome the margin of cheating.

  1. Putting in Haley as VP would minimize the loathing that Donnie Dumpster has earned in the engineering and scientific community, not to mention the contracting community(which I’ve been a member of since about 1983). I’d like to see Scott Walker as VP, but he’s not the a$$-k!sser that Donnie demands from his hires. I have no doubt whatsoever that if Frump even hinted that he might pick Nikki, she’d call Kameltoe and ask for advice…I’ll leave it at that.

  2. If Desantis was offered the VP and took it, that would be the end of Desantis’ political career. As Trump’s VP, Desantis would have to kowtow to every mismanaged political decision Trump would make, and each debacle would be a nail in Desantis political coffin.
    .
Miguel, I appreciate your hope for a good VP for Trump, and after considering the possible VPs it has to be a guy similar to Trump, someone who can handle the legacy media and leftist talking heads, and from what I can judge so far, that has proven to be only one person, which happens to also be a billionaire businessman. Ya, I think it would be a marriage made in a leftist hell, which is why it’s appealing to me, although I’ll be watching from the nosebleed seats.

  3. Seems things are pretty quiet about happenings in Arkansas. Only trouble is, she’s too new at that job to havwe garnered widespread national attention.

I agree with Lawful, DeSantis as VP would put him in dark shadow; as AG he would certainly be superb, but how many people in history have gone from AG to Prez? It’s not a “natural path” and would be a long step down from governor. Better to leave him in FL to achieve 2 more years of Conservative Republicanism to run on in ’28.

Think “DeSantis/Huckabee” in ’28 unless another rising star with executive experience suddenly shows up for the VP slot.

  4. One problem with DeSantis is that Trump is now a legal resident of Florida. Some electors will balk at voting for two candidates from the same state. No, the Constitution does not say that you cannot have the PotUS and VPotUS from the same state, but I’ve heard it interpreted to say that the electors would have to vote for someone not from the same state.

Small potatoes? Yes. A concern to keep in mind? Also yes.

    1. Yes the Electors would balk, because the Constitution (the 12th Amendment to be specific) requires it. It says “The Electors … shall vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves…”
So DeSantis as VP would mean the Florida electoral vote would be cut in half — half of them could vote for Trump as President but not Desantis for VP; the other half could vote for DeSantis as VP but not Trump for President. Would Trump want DeSantis enough to surrender 15 Electoral votes? It seems unlikely.

  5. Won’t be Haley OR DeSantis. Might be Kristi Noemi, might be a true dark horse. How many people knew who that quisling traitor Pence was before Trump chose him. Hopefully whoever it is will not be a sell out like that bastard Pence.

  6. Trump promises a 1-Day blood bath, Heads going to roll, if he wins ’24.

1)) Returns the US dollar to a commidty gold based currency by closing down the Federal Reserve and negating all US debt owed to those private bank monopolies.

2)) Ends the Russian/Ukraine War in a day. Here’s the deal: The US pulls out of Nato in exchange that Putin pulls out of the Ukraine.

3)) Restores the Rights of the States to bureaucratically regulate all intra-State trade and commerce by disbanding all the Federal bureaucracies.

President Trump does this on Day 1 after sworn into Office, and manages the feathers flying for the next 4 years.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
