The FBI released a few seconds…. and they are telling:

So Alexis had a Remington 870 with a pistol grip. Still how did he smuggle the damn thing in? If he took it apart, that itty-bitty bag does not look like it has the length to hold the barrel and it looks limp. Maybe attached to his body somewhere?

remington870_disassembledIt also looks like he filled his pants pockets with shells. I notice a bit of a bulge on both sides. “TV-Trained” in the weapon’s handling. He  might have been familiar with the shotgun and shot it before, but does not look like he had any serious training.

Anybody who thinks a shotgun is not a powerful and valid defense weapon, needs to have his head examined.

  1. What kind of idiot would ever claim that a shotgun is not a powerful and perfectly valid weapon? If we assume that most people get their opinions from experience, movies, or video games, all 3 of those have the consensus that a shotgun is an absurdly powerful close-range weapon. The two fictional examples may actually overplay a shotgun’s effectiveness, given how damage in games is calculated.
