This is shocking:

On December 15, 2021, at 7:20 a.m., officers in the Eastway Division responded to the 3700 block of Driftwood Drive regarding a Check the Welfare call for service. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a resident who showed them footage captured from their video doorbell. This footage shows a violent encounter between two individuals and had a bookmark of approximately 3:00 a.m. on December 15, 2021. A victim can be seen attempting to flee from the suspect on foot while seeking help. The suspect then grabbed the victim, threw them to the ground and proceeded to assault them multiple times. The victim is then dragged against their will toward a vehicle parked on the roadway.

I don’t have much to add other than that was fast.

I don’t think many people would be prepared for violence that fast.

When shit goes down it goes down in the blink of an eye.

  1. Yeah, not so much.

    1) That wasn’t the homeowner or anyone they knew in the video, apparently.
    2) I doubt the victim was out for a random stroll in December at 3AM when she suddenly sprinted up to a stranger’s door, which appears to be the situation in evidence.
    3) More than likely, the victim and the attacker were well-known to each other, and the violence didn’t suddenly start that morning at 3AM. More than likely this was anything but sudden. She just picked a bad time and place to try to flee for help.
    4) The only pity is the missing 12 gauge enema happy ending for Poundy McGirlfriendbeater, and trip to the coroner’s office in his own personal plastic sack. Hopefully soon.
    5) If that had been a home invasion, and even though it wasn’t, it’s a good argument for concrete or brick pillars, supporting a sturdy 6-8′ iron fence at the property line, to keep that sort of nonsense and drama on the street, rather than up on the front porch. And I stop there only because punji spikes and Claymore mines are, sadly, illegal.

    1. “… a good argument for concrete or brick pillars, supporting a sturdy 6-8′ iron fence at the property line,”

Sounds like you are describing the current homes of Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and every rich or powerful person living in Blue States. Bg City Apartment Dwellers don’t have iron fences, they have lobbies with bulletproof glass and doormen 24/7.

Pretty soon our homes will look like every third world shihole. Surrounded by concrete walls with glass embedded in the tops, and someone(s) on duty every minute of the day, just to keep the assholes out.

It is a lot cheaper when civilized people control crime, than abrogating responsibility and making everyone be on guard because society is broken. It also doesnot work. Just Ask the Cartel Run Mexican states, South Africans, Brazilians, and Somalis.

  2. Proof, again – if it was ever neeeded – that when one needs to employ “self defense” it’s instantly an “all or nothing” event. You are entirely on your own, there is no reason to hold back, there are no rules, and you better have prepared for the event well beforehand.

But you’ll get sued, they say, or charged by the cops, maybe go to jail.

Pro Tip: You won’t get sued or charged if you’re dead or no one ever finds your body. You have to be alive to be sued or charged.

Alive is good. Make sure you stay that way.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
