Lets be a little honest here. That SEAL did not transition while in uniform. He did it afterwards.
What you do when you are out of the military is your business. In the military, it’s everybody’s.
The media can say the military spends more on Viagra than it does on transition hormones. Here’s the thing. The body becomes dependent on the hormones to stay transitioned.
So what happens when soldier is deployed overseas to a combat area and can’t get their hormones resupplied.
The answer: the soldier de-transitions. The body goes through withdrawal like symptoms. Mood swings, changes in musculature, etc. happen. There is the potential for a solder to be rendered combat ineffective by this.
The military doesn’t allow asthma or diabetes in for this exact reason. Any solder dependent on regular medication that may not be available in a resupply is a liability.
