Because they weren’t raised right and there are no societal repercussions for them being so?

Yes, because threatening violence and vandalism so makes me want to cow to the snowflakes taking offense over running a business.
In the words of my generation: Not!
And yet, if some enterprising soul were to track down his home address, and throw a brick through his window, he’d be screaming at the top of his lungs, “HEY!! Johnny Law! Vandalism is a criiiime!”
The fact that other people are people like they are people doesn’t enter into the mind. They just can’t grok that fact, and are absolutely shocked when it is done to them what they have done to others.
It wouldn’t he vandalism then, either. It would be terrorism aimed at silencing his political speech. Because he’s a prog, HIS speech is extra protected, and anything that might intimidate him from any corner other than his own is therefore evil bad terrorist hate.
Of course, his own right to speech includes physical “demonstrations” that may or may not involve bricks impacting glass he doesn’t own, but that’s OK, because that’s his free speech, ans he means well, therefore it can’t even be vandalism, much less terror hate evil bad.
