Best Trailer of my Generation (Horror): Alien.

Everybody now knows the premise of the movie, but back then we knew zip. And the beauty of the trailer is that it told you nothing. No words, just faces with fear including a cat. We were riding the wave of SciFi movies (Star Wars et all) and you were wondering what the heck this movie was about.
And then the tag line screwed with your mind. Your last act of defiance which is scream for your life, in anger, in fear is for naught. Horror Zen anyone?

Note to CSGV: Norway almost happened here.

The latest BS from CSGV:

It did almost happen. On December 9, 2007 Matthew Murray armed with a semi automatic rifle, two handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and having set two smoke bombs in the parking lot, initiated an attack on the New Life Church in Colorado Springs. New Life is known as a Super Church and at the moment of the attack some 7,000 people were in the area attending services, youth ministries and other activities. After shooting a van full of parishioners and killing two of them, Murray entered the foyer of the church to continue his planned massacre. But his best plan was not to be; Jeanne Assam who was working security for the church used her sidearm and shot Murray several times getting rid of his thirst for blood. Murray escaped the attack and ended his life with his own firepower.

There were several armed people in the church, but it took one to stop the attack. One Gun, One Chance. That’s all we guarantee, a single solitary chance to stand against Evil. Yet CSGV and assorted idiots like them assure us that if there were no guns in the hands of good people, somehow the gunman would have left the New Life Church parishioners alive. In Utoya, everything was the perfect gun free scenario, the great utopia: Youth, Sun, Nature and not a single gun. The Devil then entered the island and proceeded, unimpeded with his deed.

Parents, siblings & relatives are now mourning the death of their children and the anti gun pundits once again blame the gun and not the devil that walked the beach of Utoya. And they want us to be equally unprotected for his next visit.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.

And CSGV appears to be his P.R. firm.

Worst “Serious” Anti Gun Article Ever Written

And the winner is…. (drum roll please) Reid J. Epstein for his outstanding screw up in his article:

Once you get into the article you find out that:

  1. Mr. Epstein confused Ammo with Clips.
  2. Confused Clips with Magazines.
  3. Said that High Capacity Magazines are illegal in Norway.
  4. The shooter bought Hi-Cap mags in USA because they are too expensive in Norway (Huh?)
  5. Said that the sale or transfer of high-capacity gun clips containing than more than 10 bullets was illegal in the United States under the 1994 assault weapons ban.
  6. Kept confusing ammo with magazines.
  7. Used Carolyn (Shoulder thing that goes up) McCarthy as expert in gun stuff.

Money Quote:

The Norwegian new media have reported extensively about how Breivik legally acquired his weapons and ammunition, but the mail-order purchase of his ammo from the United States has received little attention in the English-language press.

Maybe because even the dumbest of the dumbest knows the difference between ammo & magazine?

Second Hand Smoking Bullets.

Breivik may have used poisoned dum-dum bullets. That is the headline in The Foreigner, Norway’s News in English website.

Victims of the Utøya shootings may still be at risk after it was discovered that Breivik may have poisoned his ammunition prior to his murderous rampage.

In his 1,500-page manifesto he mentions ordering “99 per cent pure nicotine” from a “Chinese online supplier”.

“3-4 drops will be injected in hollow point rifle bullets,” wrote Breivik, “which will effectively turn it into a lethal chemical weapon.”

I am not gonna blame the Norwegian Journalists. Ever since I found out that the Norway SRT had to look for the keys of the weapons locker before responding to the attack in Utøya, it is pretty clear that there is no gun culture up there and these Hollywood fantasy tidbits will make sense to them.

What is funny in a sad way is that they are horrified about nicotine and apparently more so than the bullets themselves. I mean, nicotine is bad to your health, right?

In the meantime I’ll wait for the CSGV post regarding the exploding nuclear chemical warfare ammunition created for the NRA and exported directly to Norway for the massacre.

CSGV: Federal Reciprocity Bill is Scary!

The link will take you to this Rachel Maddow show. Typical Anti Gun blabbing linking the Tucson incident and the Norway Massacre to the new National Reciprocity Bill in Congress. Of course, they could not speak much of the bill without lying:

“You should be able to carry a legally concealed weapon from one state to another regardless of the second state’s laws.”

Er… No? The bill (H.R. 822) states the following:

‘(b) A person carrying a concealed handgun under this section shall be permitted to carry a handgun subject to the same conditions or limitations that apply to residents of the State who have permits issued by the State or are otherwise lawfully allowed to do so by the State.

The Talking Head (I have no idea who she is) then goes to rant about State’s Rights and that we should make the laws regarding guns accordingly to the state. Louisiana has way too many armed rednecks so it is OK to carry but Detroit, a cesspool of criminals should keep his law abiding citizens disarmed so they can be better victims.

Yep, that makes sense. Now, do we tell her about where reciprocity among the States stands as of right now? Apparently my Florida CWP is valid in 34 States.

Dear Maddow sidekick, what we want is just to federalize what we already have willingly among the States.

PS: Apparently somebody is suing MSNBC for defamation. Color me shocked.
