Subscription to Blog is back up.

Again, I want to apologize for the screw up. I went blind to the Run of The Bulls in Pamplona and got a nice horn up my ….

First: More bad news. The subscriber list is gone as you may have noticed from not getting 4 to 5 notifications daily.  As much as I hated it for you to have to do it all over, I rather much have it lost than end up outside my control and you getting spammed by third parties.

Second: I chose the most simple of the subscription widgets out there. No fancy shit, just subscribe. I hope this one comes without any problems, but let me know. You will see a small subscription form on the left side of the blog, so feel free.

Third: There is another alternative, a RSS Reader and in particular The Old Reader.  With it you can set up not only my blog but any blogs you like in one convenient package and at your time of choosing to read. Depending on the blog & service it may or not display all the text and/or graphics but you can still click on the link and take you to the particular blog. I use it and I figure you wouldn’t mind an alternative.

Again my apologies and let’s hope we are back to abby normal.

That desperate need to lie….

So via Brady Campaign, We get this interesting title by ThinkProgress (which nether, nor):

brady open carry book 1

So the book is for kids to understand why their parents Open Carry, but neitherTHINKnorProgress chooses to make it look as if we were teaching kids to Open Carry by their lonesome.

The article just describes the book and then goes to babble about “guns are bad, M’kay,” LaPierre is Bad, M’kay,” & “more gun = more crime, M’kay.” If anybody with a dozen spare neurons seeks to find where does the book say for Kids to Open Carry, he/she would be wasting time…and probably because I doubt they could find that information in the book. But neitherTHINKnorProgress readers will bother to figure that out and will just have enough with repeating the tittle.

If you cause is righteous, why lie?

Birmingham Police are investigating a home invasion that ended with the suspect being shot by the resident of the home.

The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on 6th Avenue South.  Lt. Sean Edwards tells WIAT 42 News that the suspect came to the home earlier in the day, inquiring about a truck at the residence. After talking with the woman who lived in the home, he left.

He returned a short time later and approached the woman who was outside the home. He then forced his way into the home, demanding money from her. She pulled a debit card from her purse, as well as a small handgun from a side pocket, shooting the suspect in the hand.

The man fled the scene and has not been located.  The woman was not injured.

Puppies, sunsets and suspects with gunshot injuries make me smile.

WordPress Users, stay the hell away from ReadyGraph.

I made the mistake of getting ReadyGraph installed in my blog and was I sorry. I find it annoying, invasive (more on this later) and needing a major in computer science to remove as there is no clear way to do so nor does the designer gives it to you.

Even after I registered and jumped through the hoops, every time I checked on my site, a damned ReadyGraph pop up greeted me and I could never find out why and how to stop it. That did it.

ReadyGraph bundles with Subscribe2 so you can pretty much kiss that widget goodbye once you installed RG. You also have to configure RG both on your site and on their site so the ball breaking goes double.

But what made my hair stand on an end was when I managed to deactivate it in my website and immediately got an email from them asking why I did so, intruding much? And how the f*** did they know? What kind of shit I installed in my site that they are aware of what I do and don’t do? Did they also manage to farm the email addresses of my subscribers without me knowing so? That would really piss me off since I do not share the emails with anybody as they are nobody’s business.

I ended up following the instructions found here to deactivate ReadyGraph and went as far as deleting Subscribe2 from the site’s directory.  I might have lost my subscriber’s list, but sure as hell I could not let that thing roaming in my site any longer.

California: Let me see if I get this straight…

LAPD Motorcycle cop loses shotgun attached to his bike, OK, not so well attached. The Cop does not notice till it is too late and can’t find it. Panic ensues and search parties are sent for the shottie. A passerby finds the shotgun and gets arrested. No news if the cop that lost the shotgun is even gonna be reprimanded.

Hell, I understand why the K-9 said “f*** it” and bit another officer. Even dogs have limits.

Derping with authority.

Caught this watching FBI 10 most wanted: Manhunt in American Heroes Channel  (formally what Tam refers to The Hitler Channel) and saw the following. Not very good pictorial but it does the job and transmits the stupidity.

Holy mother of Flipper! I knew CorBon was good but not that good. I have one of my carry guns with Pow’RBall and I did not how deadly it could be. I did some research and found out the true composition of the bullets and I think you just have to wave the round in front of the critter for him to be eliminated and sent to another galaxy:

corbon

I am gonna get me a couple of aspirins now, the head-desking was strong.
