On the sad side of things, the video shows a body of a male as they were rolling up the gate. Probably shot when the terrorists took over the market but the info is still unclear at this time. (7:20 pm)

Before you make your plane reservation to come down to the Magic Kingdom County (yes, St. Cloud it is within Mickey’s sphere of influence) or rush to your local WallyWorld and demand Daniel Defense ARs, please notice that it is a book. I know, I was crestfallen myself when I found out.

But imagine the heart attacks that it may have caused to less aware and more Gun-phobic people. Any member of Moms demand getting to the register to pay for her groceries would have shrieked and collapsed after that apparition. Once revived, she would get her beddazled smart phone, take a picture and give a country-wide alert to all the Moms Demand:

OMG! THEY ARE SELLING ASSAULT RIFLES AT THE CHECK OUTS OF WALMART IN FLORIDA! IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED! BLOOD IN THE STREETS!

One day…..one day we will have ARs for sale like candy bars or chewing gum. OK, being Walmart would probably be Bushmasters or Polish AKs at the check out counter .

In the spectrum of the Gun Control neighborhood,  the National Gun Victims Action Council is like the creepy guy with the run down house, poor landscaping and where small animals are seen going in but never coming out. If you talk to him, you may be able to have a normal conversation for 3 minuets before you see the light of normalcy switch of his eyes and substituted by a constant flicker of low-grade insanity. Basically he is nuts, bit no real danger to anybody.

Elliot Fineman is the head case honcho of this group and he comes up with some really bizarre rants and memes in his group’s Facebook page:

Pardon me for being contrary, but the Kouachi Brothers, the terrorist that drove Gun Free Zone France nuts for the last couple of days were doing their killings with what? Fully Automatic Pez dispensers? They were not only in the No-Fly list but in every terrorist-watch list from Yemen to Bolivia and yet they managed to get their hands on honest-to-god AK-47s and allegedly an RPG? You cannot find those things on the art open markets along the Seine river if memory serves right. If anything, it goes to show that Bad guys will obtain whatever is that they need to do their crimes and exercise terror regardless of the stupid laws that some stupid and misguided lawmaker thinks will keep the world safe from all Evil. My guess is that terrorists are too good an opportunity to exaggerate to pass up for people like the National Gun Victims Action Council.

And will somebody tell Fineman that the 80s called and want the Microsoft Paint back?

An extensive apology was issued yesterday by the editors. The Sheriff did not say that nor the writer wrote it. Apparently, the article was changed farther down the chain:

Internally, the newspaper leadership spent yesterday researching this error, discovering the form it took and taking corrective action. As a result, the two people involved were fired.

Reporter Anna Taylor, whose name was on the story, is not responsible for this error.

Many of Thursday’s upset callers asked the same question: “Doesn’t anyone proof your newspaper?”

Well, surprisingly that’s where the error took place. A function and process designed to rid the news pages of error instead added a terrible one that altered the reporter’s original sentence. No reasonable excuse can exist.

Whomever the two morons were, there is no doubt that at least one of them decided to play politics where he/she shouldn’t and maybe the other one did not properly supervise, but I am guessing. Anyways, you are entitled as an individual to express your opinion and be brave about it, but not on a private forum that is not yours or have permission to access.

It takes years to develop trust. It takes only seconds to destroy it.

Indeed. And as critical as I am of Old media, I do give kudos to the News-Enterprise for stepping up, fire those responsible and not trying to BS their way out of it.

This is starting to smell weird. By the time you read this, you may have heard that they committed several carjackings, have not martyred themselves, took a hostage, barricade inside a factory and were talking to a negotiator while telling anybody in earshot that they wanted to martyr themselves.

Initially I thought this looked more like Chechen work rather than Yemeni as they identified themselves. Chechens don’t mind the martyring  but they don’t have an issue with running away. But this is starting to look as a test to figure out how much chaos, confusion and tying of government resources can be done with a minimal expense.

If you have been watching TV, you have seen all the work and cops and military out there to get two guys. Now imagine the clusterflock with 5 more teams like this around the country and pretty much they brought the country to a stand-still.

Update: Just now (8:12 am) a second hostage situation in a Kosher market in Paris.

We Gun Owners, and specially NRA Members have been called just about every name in the book and blamed for massacres not of our making. We have been accused of insurrectionist and treason as we were preparing to take over the government when we really do not want to be near it. We have been accused of promoting School Shootings when it was us who told everybody years ago  that Gun Free Zones were bound to be bloody disasters. We ask for violent criminals to be targeted and we are the ones who end up being tagged as violent, put on a Homeland Security list of enemies and investigated. Time and time again we offer to debate the issue or simply ask the media to be fair, and we always end up getting hatchet jobs in editorial pages by both written and graphic section. This has been going on for decades, non-stop and with glee. We are tagged as dangerous killers, a redneck version of AlQaeda; our honesty insulted and our humanity doubted.

And yet, not one single cartoonist has been shot & killed by us. Not one single “documentary” director has been shot & stabbed to death in the street. No newspaper offices have been firebombed by us nor has been the offices of Gun Control groups that target us as enemies. No Nobel Prize winner had to go live hiding from the rest of the world because of threats we issued. Not one single man or woman in uniform had his or her head chopped off in the middle of the street.

“Today”, real killers will be vilified for their actions, hopefully they will be apprehended or recycled and the victims taken to their final resting place with sorrow from all.

“Tomorrow”, we gun owners will be back at being called the worse thing that ever happened to Humanity since the Black Plague, that we are vile people who should either be exterminated, taken to mental “facilities” against our will or relocated to camps.

And no one will be killed for it.
