Virginia Reciprocity: Hang Together or Hang Separately.

I was shocked to see several people in our culture trying to either dismiss or justify the actions of Virginia’s Attorney General Mark R. Herring eliminating reciprocity with 25 states.  The chant is “But those states do not ‘meet the standards’ that Virginia imposes to their citizens, so he has a point.”

Ladies and gentleman, that is not the reason, that is the excuse to shut down reciprocity and hope to make Virginians with gun permits, pariahs among CWP states by waiting for the banned states to respond in kind. No, it was not about you after all. This is the Democrat machine punishing gun owners in Virginia.

And also what Bloomberg is thinking (Yes, I kinda detect his hairy hand behind this crap) is that other states try to pull the same stunt and disintegrate the Reciprocity movement across the nation. It was never about the law or keeping the commonwealth safe, otherwise they would have produced the numbers showing the waves of crime brought upon residents of other states passing or visiting Virginia. But those numbers are not available because simply they do not exist at best or show how well-behaved we are at worst.

So we need to do two things: If you live in one of the 25 banned states, contact your State’s Attorney general and demand that Virginian Citizens with carry permits be allowed to carry in your state. Second, get back on the National Reciprocity law, plain Jane, no additives: If you have a permit to carry in your state, you are allowed to carry nationwide. And that is it. Period.

And stop making excuses for the misdeeds of the Opposition. You cannot give the benefit of the doubt to those who have shown very clearly they want our rights destroyed. You can be polite, just don’t be stupid.

Feds Revoke Teddy Bear Manufacturer’s License For Sloppy Record-Keeping

Stag Bears, the Connecticut-based Teddy Bear manufacturer, has lost it’s federal Teddy manufacturing Bear license as a result of not properly keeping track of serialized lower bodies. New Britain-based Stag Bears LLC pleaded guilty Tuesday to violating federal Stuffed Animals laws and as part of a plea agreement company president and owner Mark Malkowski agreed to sell the company and have no further ownership or management role in a Teddy Bear manufacturer. The company, with Malkowski serving as its representative, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Hartford to a single felony count of possession of an automated Teddy Bear not registered to the company.

My apologies to Bob Owens for mutilating his article, but it was too good to pass up and demonstrate how stupid the “Teddy Bears are More Regulated Than Guns” arguments really can be.

To: Pam Bondi, Florida Attorney General. Subject: Allow Virginia Citizens to Legally Carry in our State.

I just sent this email to our Attorney General

Dear Ms. Bondi.

I guess you have heard by now that Virginia’s Attorney general has decided to break the concealed carry reciprocity agreement between the Commonwealth and our State. Yes, a stupid move that hurts the Citizens of Florida, but nothing much we can do about that.

However, there is one thing we can do (or at least I think we can do) to the self-imposed Executive Overseers of Virginia:

Allow Virginia Residents with a concealed weapons permit to carry in Florida after Feb. 1.

Just because their Attorney general in a politically short-sighted maneuver has told law-abiding concealed carry citizens from half the country they are no longer welcome to his state, we should do the opposite and tell Virginians that they are still welcome to enjoy the Sunshine State.

I thought the days of putting up signs saying “We don’t allow your kind here.” in our nation were long gone, but apparently they have been brought back to life by some petty elected officials. It is our duty to show that we will refuse to play that game by responding in kind.

Hoping you give a serious thought to my proposal.

Yours.

OK, at least ONE person in Florida has made the request. We need more and see if we can make it contagious in the other 24 states.

Let’s embarrass the hell out of Virginia’s Attorney General Mark R. Herring and even Governor Terry McAuliffe.

Just a quick thought

I do not support Donald Trump.  I am not going to defend the things Donald Trump has said.

However, if your argument against Donald Trump’s rhetoric on Islam and Syrian refugees is:

“The things Donald Trump is saying will recruit more people to join ISIS inspire domestic Islamic terrorism against the US.”

Than you are seriously proving his point.

We gun owners and NRA members know you on the left hate us.  You call us murderers and terrorists.  You publish front page articles saying horrible stuff about us that would make you apoplectic if a Republican said the same thing about Muslims.

And after all of your terrible rhetoric and insults, how many radical gun nuts have gone on killing sprees to defend the Second Amendment?

None.

Why? Because civilized people in a civil society do not respond to insulting and ugly rhetoric with violence.

Think about that for a little bit.

Virginia to end concealed carry reciprocity with 25 other states. Back to the Dark Ages.

RICHMOND — Attorney General Mark R. Herring (D) plans to announce Tuesday that Virginia will no longer recognize concealed carry handgun permits from 25 states that have reciprocity agreements with the commonwealth.

The states are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Agreements will remain with West Virginia, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Unexpected but not surprising coming from an administration so wedded to Gun Control. My fear is that if we do not spread the word, coming Feb 1 there will be a lot of unaware people visiting or traveling through the Commonwealth can get a charge for a gun carry violation, a Class 1 misdemeanor that brings fines of up to $2,500, up to 12 months in jail, or both. After that it becomes a felony.

The option if you must travel through occupied territory is to get one of the permits from the approved states.

And Virginia does need to get rid of the assholes they have in the Executive come next election.
