Watts, a former corporate communications executive, calls herself “an accidental activist” and admits that in the beginning, the strategy for building her movement was a bit fake-it-til-you-make-it. Her first move was to issue a press release claiming her organization had a chapter in every state (it didn’t), and boldly pronouncing it was “coming for the gun lobby.”

MIAMI – A Miami man with a deformed skull, who became known as the “half-headed man,” was arrested Monday on arson and first-degree attempted murder charges.Miami police said Carlos Rodriguez, 31, set his mattress on fire at a duplex on Northwest 61st Avenue.Police said an officer found the man sitting in the backyard. His statement to police was redacted.

Dudley Does Wrong Again in Minnesota
Our friend Dudley Brown is still roaming the country doing what he does best: taking credit (and possibly cash) for things he has not done:
The events indeed happened in city of Savage but the lobbying came from Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus and not Dudley’s frankengroup. And I cannot compete with the quote from one of the MNGOC’s description of Dudley’s creation.

Otis Technology AK-47 Cleaning Kit
As Otis Technology expanded to the international market, there was a need to expand its systems to cover former Warsaw Pact weapon systems, with the AK-47 series at the top of the list. There has never been a truly dedicated AK-47 cleaning kit. AK-47-style rifles come with a rod (which were often lost) and fixed-stock models had a compartment in the back of the stock which held a bore brush made of nylon, a T-handle for the rod (kit body), slotted tip, punch and sight tool.

I mostly use a pressure washer after shooting a thousand rounds and then lubricate with leftover olive oil from sardine cans. But if you want to get fancy, Otis is the way to go.
The importance of a Supreme Court.
Covered by the noise of the local election campaign, the news of the Venezuelan Supreme Court declaring that President Maduro could bypass the Assembly and present his own budget to be approved by them, went unnoticed. Basically, the Chavez-stacked Court (against what is clearly written in the Venezuelan constitution) has emasculated the Assembly that no longer was under the thumb of the government after the last elections gave the opposition a clear majority. For all intents and purposes, there is no longer a viable Assembly in Venezuela and finally all the power is concentrated in the Presidency.
The consequences did not wait to be seen. Yesterday a group of doctors at Hospital Central in Maracay (Aragua State) were protesting the lack of medicines and medical implements they need to treat 70 very ill children when a “Colectivo” (Chavista armed gang) appeared at the location and proceeded to impart a beat down on the protesters. A couple of days earlier, two doctors had been suspended for allowing members of a political party not aligned with the government to come into the hospital to donate much-needed medicines for the kids.
Venezuela is now allowing children to die as long as the political power is maintained and they will have no problems using raw power, starvation and sickness to maintain that power. The bodes are piling up and Venezuelans basically have no real recourse because they voted themselves out of freedom for a failed promise of security.
Our Election Day is just around the corner. The Supreme Court is up to be reshaped for a generation by the next president. The ball is in your court.
