Month: January 2017

T minus 24h

I know that despite two months of whining, crying, pissing, and moaning that the overwhelming number of liberals demanding revolution and resistance to Trump’s inauguration are going to puss out and be relegated to emoting online.

There is a tiny, tiny part of me that does wish they would man up and fight in real life like they fantasize about in their echo chambers.

It would be all the excitement of getting to fight commies and terrorists without the burden of having sleep in a foxhole in some third world shithole.

I only wish I had some grenades.

Resistance: You keep using that word…

I saw this over the Twitter Badlands:

So I went over and checked it out. You never know if they have a manual or some info sheet with relevant and applicable information to be used in real life. Not what I was expecting:

OK, maybe I am missing something inside:

Wait, contacting your elected critters is what you define as resistance? And that is the “butchest” resistance information I found.

Our side defines resistance quite differently. In fact our reading materials actually look like this:

And we do like the “free” exchange of information:

Dear NeverTrumpers On The Left. Go back to your Chia Lattes and Man Buns and speak no more of resistance. It is embarrassing.

And this is how you get Open Carry.

“And let’s say it was accidental, that they had a handgun underneath a coat or something, they bent over and the handgun could be seen,” CTC Police Chief Mary Wheeler said. “It’s no longer concealed if someone can see it.”  Chief Wheeler said a violation of this law could lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment for employees or expulsion for students, including the first occurrence.

When you announce you will prosecute people in bad faith for accidentally displaying a firearm, you get pissed off Gun People who will make their next goal to make sure Open Carry is allowed on Campus.

Same thing that has happened in Florida: Some LEO Chiefs decided to be dicks with accidental displays and now Open Carry is again in the Legislature and hopefully will become law this year.

Girl finds gun followup

I went to the news the link from Miguel’s post Moms Demand (Fl Chapter) makes it too easy. Girl Finds Gun.  In the comments of the news article I saw this.

To quote The Toolman: “Reply to @Carole Green Most likely not stolen due to the fact it still has the serial number on the side of the slide.”

I do work in firearm forensics.  We provide resources to law enforcement when they need our expertise.  The idea that criminals routinely file off serial numbers is some TV CSI bullshit.

Here’s why.  Destroying a serial number is UBER VERBOTEN.  Criminals are not all dumb.  Getting caught with an illegal gun may net you a year in prison if you can’t get a plead to something lower.  Getting caught with a firearm with a destroyed serial number is a one way ticket to a Federal prison.  It seriously ups the ante.

It is so uber verboten that a licensed manufacturer can’t destroy the serial number of a gun it made without a massive load of paperwork.

In the risk vs. reward of being nabbed with a stolen gun vs. a gun with a destroyed serial number, get nabbed with the stolen gun and be prepared to roll over on the guy that sold you the hot piece.

Stop taking your gun knowledge from TV.  It’s not good for your arguments.

Sybrina Fulton seeking to remain relevant and profitable.

In a sense it is funny that she requires her dose of limelight and it is sad that she still cannot come to terms with the established facts that her son’s ending was a doing of his own. But there is money to be made and attention to bet obtained.

Janet Mock: How did you handle Hillary Clinton’s loss, and how will your work advance in a Donald Trump presidency?
Sybrina Fulton: We’re still in mourning. What has transpired is a hard pill to swallow. It’s very discouraging because Secretary Clinton was really on board with police reform, community policing, and gun reform.

Oh sweet Jesus. Mama Fulton is seeking relevance by being a NeverTrumper? The article is chock-full of gems, here are some:

JM: What are some of those solutions?

SF: One of the things that I want to see happen before I rest in peace is, if you take a life, we need to do a background check and a drug and alcohol test at the scene. Trayvon was dead on the ground, and the police department saw fit to do a background check and a drug and alcohol test on him. But there was no background check or drug and alcohol test done on the person who killed him.

Maybe she has been watching way too many TV Police Dramas where they have all those beautiful gadgets that attach to smartphones and even detect cancer in 5 seconds with just a scan of your thumbprint. As for regular background checks, she cannot be that stupid to ignore that not only a background check was performed on Zimmerman on the spot (You know them cute laptops inside the patrol cars? They are not just to pay Tetris and watch Netflix on duty) but a much deeper background check was done once he was taken in custody by Sanford PD. As for toxicology, I have no idea if he was subjected to a test, nor I can find a resource saying that.

The other thing is, there needs to be an independent investigation; it should not be led by the state attorney’s office, which is working side by side with police.

Wait, what? The State Attorney’s office went against Sanford Police and pressed charges against Zimmerman even when the evidence clearly showed he was innocent. But somehow because you did not get the verdict you wanted, they are now in cahoots? And she is a lawyer by trade, ladies and gents, she is not some High School dropout that was never taught about the Branches of Government and how they work.

JM: What was it like to reflect on Trayvon in your book?

SF: It took me back to the day it happened. It always makes you think, Was there something I could have done or said to save my son?

How about paying fucking maternal attention to the weed smoker showing off guns in Facebook and burglarizing shit criminal you had at home rather than shipping his ass to his dad where he gambled about being tough and lost? Just a thought.

MC: Your book comes out on January 31, five days before what would have been Trayvon’s 22nd birthday. How will you commemorate?

SF: We always do a remembrance weekend.

And frankly, nobody gives a shit. Not even the friends he had in High School gave to shits when he died. I guess he was not only not popular but probably he was not liked that much to begin with.

I will give my closing arguments with an animated GIF:

Not the smartest cookies in the jar.

WEST BROWARD, FLA. (WSVN) – The driver and three passengers inside a car that led police on a cross county chase are in custody. The chase began as a traffic stop, Tuesday afternoon, but the driver in the white Nissan sedan took off and police followed suit. Authorities began chasing the car on Alligator Alley in Collier County . The chase later entered into West Broward County.

If you don’t live in Florida you may want to think that Alligator Alley is just a cute name given to a stretch of I-75 for tourism purposes. If you are a Floridian, specially one touting from the south end of the state, you should know different. You see, Alligator Alley is about a 75 mile long piece of highway with pretty much nothing but pavement, swamp on both sides and a long-ass fence also on both sides to keep alligators out of the road and cars from being food-delivery devices for the local fauna. Or as my wife says, to keep dumb drivers from becoming gator meals.

75 miles of this does not make for a proper escape route

Now, how dumb can you be to take that damned road to “avoid” cops? You have Collier County Sheriff on the west side (Where the chase originated), you have Broward County Sheriff on the other side and patrolling the highway is Florida State Troopers! And not for nothing, cops have this thing called radio that allows them to talk to each other plus I am sure they also have cell phones.

The only smart thing they did was to pull over and surrender to the Troopers.

May God keep them stupid, it makes life for everybody easier.
