GFZ Blog in MeWe and Gab.

If you happen to have accounts in both (desolated) places, be advised the blog or me has a presence in them.

In Gab is @GunFreeZoneBlog

In MeWe is https://mewe.com/i/miguel.gonzalez (I think)

And since there is no free automated linkage from WordPress to both places, I have to put them in by hand so it is annoying and I may do it at the end of the day.

That is all… 😀

The thick irony of a communist living in freedom.

Brought to you by an idiot in Harlem who thinks himself cool and edgy because he can be an asshole to two cops.

And you know why he did that? Because nothing will happen to him. He lives in a country where being such an asshole is a right.

However, check his hat:

Yup, that is the Communist red star and a picture of Che Guevara.

And that is the flag of Cuba. A common sight in Miami with the Exiled community we have, but very much less common in NYC.

I made the next captures to also point out more irony:

This Cuban Communism Sympathizer is doing his “revolutionary” sketch inside something that is very hard to find in Cuba: A well stocked grocery store.

You see, a store filled with all sorts and variety of consumer goods like where he is giving us his “cool” performance are only reserved to the high party officials and foreign visitors with hard currency. The plebes like him have to use a ration card and shop whatever is available, (if it is available) in stores like this:

Now, what would happen if Mr. Cuban Communist Hat would pull that attitude on two Cuban Cops?

After Cuban police arrested a street actor named Omar earlier this week, one blog quickly declared:”Free Omar! Self-employed revolutionary.”
Rebels, of course, aren’t supposed to be immersed in free enterprise. But Omar wanted to have his revolution and eat it, too. So he parlayed the revolution into his own private, albeit illegal, enterprise.
He turned himself into a caricature of the original barbudos, the bearded ones who took power in 1959.

And yes, the irony of the same Che Guevara image in his beret was just pure schadenfreude.

So, on one side we have a pampered young asshole thinking himself  to be edgy and revolutionary because he is giving shit to two NYPD cops inside a well stocked store in a Free Country. On the other hand we have a guy who is a street actor in Havana who is arrested for mocking his “betters” and trying to make some money not allowed by the government.

Irony so thick…

A Good Witness or a Good Voyeur?

Via Sean Sorrentino of the Gunblog Varietycast fame.

NBC-2.com WBBH News for Fort Myers, Cape Coral & Naples, Florida

I think most everybody in the Gun Culture community heard or read about this incident:

NBC2 obtained the witness videos from the good Samaritan fatal shooting of Edward Strother, the man who attacked a Lee County deputy near Corkscrew Road.

…The terror can be heard in the voice of those recording while they watched Strother on top of Deputy Bardes. Strother pinned Bardes to the ground after the deputy chased the suspect several miles on I-75. Strother reportedly beat the deputy in the middle of the exit ramp on I-75.
Drivers pulled over to see it unfold, but the man in the blue shirt walked into the scene to stop the attack.
Strother was shot and killed by a civilian, Ashad Russell, a witness to the whole incident with a concealed weapons permit and gun. All three shots hit Strother. Within moments, Russell dropped his weapon and slowly walked away to wait for deputies.

Here is one thing in the article that Sean mentioned and left me speechless:

Interesting note – there were no 911 calls made from the scene.

If anything to call 911 when we see dangerous or threatening stuff  was drilled in the collective psyche of our country, or so I thought.  I understand that smart phones can either take video or make calls, but you figure at lest one of the idiots present would have thought, “Hey, maybe we should call some other cops to come to the area or paramedics or something. Let me call 911.” But nobody did.

Out of all the people present, only the armed Good Samaritan and the driver of the truck came forward to help.  And even though I can “understand” keeping your distance while actions were happening, after the shooting and seeing two bodies lying around, nobody else even attempted to check on them. Of course, the reason is a generous mixture of “I don’t want to be involved” with not having the basic training to respond and treat injuries.

And I won’t even comment o the audio track.

And the saddest lesson you can take from this incident is that if something happens to you, the likelihood of having a very lonesome but very well documented death in a public place is very high with our 21st century voyeur culture of Youtube Voyeurism.

CNN tweeted one of the dumbest headlines of the year, so far.

They were mocked on Twitter because, of course, statues don’t move in the snow.

I couldn’t care less about that.

I’m concerned about the wording of “stands her ground against the Wall Street bull.”

She is standing up against the bull?  The Wall Street Charging Bull being “the symbol of aggressive financial optimism and prosperity,” as a reference to a Bull Market.

So this girl is standing defiant against a strong, positive financial outlook.  Do I have that right?

The statue was put up by State Street Global Advisors to promote more women in Wall Street and on corporate boards.  You’d think that a multi-trillion dollar investment firm would be in favor of a bull market.

Nope.

Feminist virtue signaling is ad odds with good economics.  Just ask the New York Daily News: “You go, Fearless Girl staring down the big, bad bull.”

The big, bad bull?  What?  The big, bad good market in which people are making money and have a positive outlook on the economy?

WTF?

Of course, other feminists have gotten in on the action putting pussy hats and Moms Demand Action hats on the statue and taking pictures.

Not a single one asking why the Fearless Girl is opposed to the Bull.

The lesson that I learned here is that it seems like Liberal Feminists don’t know the difference between a bull market and a bear market, they don’t really care how the economy performs, they just want to make big show of girl power strength, regardless of the consequences; and if that is the case, that’s the perfect reason to keep feminists off of Wall Street and out of the board rooms.  The last thing this country needs is a bunch of Social Justice Activists standing on top of the burning wreckage of the American economy, cheering “pussy power.”
