I was thinking that since I lived in a country where malaria and other diseases are endemic, I have a good idea how the epidemiology to contain outbreaks work.

First you locate a place where we are having the most problems. For the Gun Control experts’ medical treatment, Chicago as a well-known location  where there is an issue with the “Gun Virus.” Epidemiologists will be sent to examine the problem or better yet, we ask locals (in this case Chicago PD officers) where are the worst spots of Gun Virus infection (“gun violence” and “gun crime”.) Once we figure out the specific hot spots, we begin by isolating them from the less affected or unaffected parts of Chicago.  I am guessing barriers and  fences to avoid that the Carriers of the Gun Virus should get out and avoid treatment.

Now that we have the location sealed as best as possible, we start targeting the locations where the Carriers of the Gun Virus might be located, just like we do for mosquitoes.

But now we have a problem, just like not all mosquitoes carry malaria, not all the humans in the confined areas are Carriers of the Gun Virus. However since we can’t distinguish one from another, we have to ignore that difference and treat the infected area. Remember, we are doing this for the Children!

The most efficient way is to intensely spray/fog/fumigate the area by truck:

So, let me see. The Gun Control crowd wants to treat the “Gun Crime” like it is an epidemic which obviously we need to treat according to the best epidemiological practices which include the isolation of the carriers on the areas of “infection” and their elimination by wide-area means which are not selective and pretty much will kill non-carriers also. I seem to recall that the method has been tried before and achieved great success against the carriers of other maladies.

Yup, Warsaw was a great epidemiological success in the treatment of the Semite Virus.

Maybe Shannon Watts should rename her group as Moms Demand Extermination for Gun Sense in America.

And I might be exaggerating, but just a very small bit. If you believe that the idea of mass incarceration and extermination of Gun Owners has not crossed the minds of some in the Opposition, you better wake the heck up or you will find yourself staring at the ugly mug of Ladd Everitt looking down at you in your bedroom.

A discussion thread that I was somehow added to (because most of them have no idea who I really am) revolved around putting four new faces on Mt. Rushmore, because the current ones do not reflect this country’s diversity. My suggestion that we add Andrew Jackson was not well received and sparked a side discussion when it was stated that all of America needs to be stripped of all memorials to our Founding Fathers and and military hero since the Founders were all about white male supremacy and honoring anyone for killing others is wrong. I chimed back in and pointed out that but for our nation’s founders and the military men that came with and after them, no one on this discussion list would even be here today.
“Oh yes we would,” replied one of them. ” We’d just all have been Native Americans and we’d be living in harmony with each other and nature.”
The face palm heard round the world indeed. And laugh if you will, but her vote counts as much as yours of mine does every election.

The more I listen to the far Left on the issue of the environment, the more I realize they don’t love the planer or the environment, they just hate human beings.

The Left daydreams about genocide, and the will use whatever argument is most convenient or prudent in the zeitgeist to justify a genocide.

The Left is going apoplectic over the fact that Ms. USA says health care is not a right, which they assure us it is.

The Left also says that if the government does not subsidize abortion providers and fund Planned Parenthood, it is denying women ther abortion rights.

To Progressives, a right not funded by the government is a right denied.

Here’s what I want. 

I have a Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. 

I want a Republican Congressman to put forward a bill for an EBT like card that I can use at any FFL for the purchase of guns and ammo.  I want at least $255 per month, which is the average monthly benefit for SNAP recipients, and should be enough to feed my IDPA habit. 

I don’t see it passing.   I just want Liberals to argue against it while Conservatives keep saying “it’s a right and if you don’t pay for it you are denying people their rights.”

Turn about is fair play.

Wait, what? Nobody bought guns since the election? Damn, that is gonna be upsetting to the people I know who did buy guns. Why don’t we read the article and see if we can figure out what’s going on.

Wait, “jammed sales’ and “stopped buying” actually means “yes, guns were sold, just not as many.” And the article fails to mention that during the November-March period and according to the same government statistics, some seven million firearms were sold. Hardly a jam or a stoppage in sales.

Basically since the Election, enough guns were bought to supply every LEO and active Military personnel in the US…twice.

Liberals can’t do math…or lie about it.

I call Liberty Mutual “The insurance company for Snowflakes.” If you have seen the commercials, they show people in different self-created situations complaining why their insurance company does not treat them like guiltless victims and pardons all mistakes. “I wrecked my car, but I should not be held accountable! Gimme New Car You Bad Insurance Company!” and “Liberty Mutual Has Accident Forgiveness. They are Cool!!” (Of course, they do not mention that they charge you a premium up your rectum for the”kindness” of paying you full price for the car you totaled while doing 150 mph in icy conditions).

But the latest one not only pissed me off royally, but it goes with J. Kb. post about the Avocado Hand. A proud mom is telling us that thanks to Liberty Mutual 24-hour roadside assistance, the fruit of her loins was rescued from dangerous Nowhere land when the car developed a flat tire.  And then it shows us two other teens, obviously without Liberty Mutual Insurance, calling dad and  trying to figure out the mysterious items in the car that allegedly will repair a flat tire.

Listen, I understand that car today are complicated beasts that probably cannot get started by a simple pairing of batteries and require the vehicle to be towed to be repaired. It is not like old times when you could actually learn a bit of how an engine work and prop it long enough to get back home under your own power. I was an off-roader and it was a point of honor among us to get back home without having to call a tow truck so we carry tools and spare parts to fix anything short of an engine blow. My truck today? I look inside the hood and I can’t figure out what is what so yes, I have road side assistance and have used it.

But a needing stranger’s help for a flat tire? As a “responsible” parent, how in God’s name would you even let you kid drive out without teaching him or her how to change a effing tire? Dear God, I was taught how to change tires years before I was allowed to drive! Hell, you would not depend on the crappy jack that came with the car, but bought a good bottle jack and a couple of wheel chocks or fashioned them out of leftover wood. You also learned where the jack points where to safely raise the card and the rest of the liturgy that came with changing a tire.

And when you got home, you were filthy, your clothes had grease and soot and dirt and maybe even a little rip and same for your arms and hands. You mom or dad or both asked what happened to you to which you simply said “I had a flat.” Next thing would be dad’s smiling with a little pride and mom maybe shedding a little tear because the little boy or girl was no longer there but had grown up and learned to take care of business. Life had thrown you a test, you passed it and a new level of trust was achieved within your family and new responsibilities would be issued to you: Welcome to Adulthood.

But now? Mommy will pay extra so your boo-boo can be fixed remotely by a paid Grease-Nanny and you can come home safely and without a stain in your mommy jeans or a hair out-of-place in you Man Bun.

God forbid you learn how to fend off for yourself.
