San Francisco is a shit hole.  Literally.  There are so many homeless people and drug addicts attracted to the Bay Area because of its Liberal policies towards these things that the streets of San Francisco are a minefield of human shit and used hypodermic needles.

It is so bad that a Silicon Valley type has created an interactive map app to help people avoid high shit areas of the city.

Drowning a once beautiful city in human shit is not enough for the Progressives of the Bay.  They have to ruin one of few beautiful natural places in the city with dog shit.   Literally.

Crissy Field was an airfield that has been turned into a nature preserve under the control of the National Park Service as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

A right of center organization, Patriot Prayer, which has publicly denounced white supremacism, got permission to have a free speech rally at the National Park.  At least the Federal Government still respects the 1st Amendment in California.

Bay Area progressive tyrants were unable to stop the Park Service from issuing a permit so are going nuclear.  They are salting the earth, so to speak, with dog shit.   They are saving up their dog shit to take to the beach and spread it around, on purpose, to make the beach so disgusting that Patriot Prayer will leave.

This is vile beyond belief.  

Sodom and Gomorrah had all the same buggery and perversion but I don’t remember anything about thrm spreading shit around on purpose.  

It is time for “the Big One” to hit the Bay and wash it out to sea. 

The Overton Window is a political concept that says there is a certain range of beliefs that the majority of voters find palatable or acceptable.  For a politician to be viable, he or she has to be in the Overton Window.  Stray to far in either direction outside of the Window and a politician will lose support among the mainstream.  The diagram below is a good visual of this concept.

A candidate like Bernie Sanders was pushing the edge of the Overton Window with his advocacy of socialism.  His idea were popular with some and radical with others.

The Overton Window works nationally as well as locally.  This sometimes results in conflict.  The Overton Window for gun control in New York and California is very far from where it sits in Middle America.  A politician advocating for gun bans and restrictions that are popular in NYC or San Francisco is unthinkable in Alabama and Texas.

It’s why a kindergarten class in California can have a transgender coming out party for one of its students and the teachers think that is sensible and the parents completely freak out.

This is a useful concept to understand.  Occasionally pundits will discuss attempts to move the Overton Window in an attempt to make less popular ideas more popular.

The deep thinkers (the English language really needs irony punctuation) over at The Hill want to blame the election of Donald Trump on the right deliberately shifting the Overton Window on discourse.

What I have  not heard is a discussion the deliberate attempt to move the Overton Window in relation to what is going on with the protests, riots, and destruction of monuments by the Left.

After Leftists destroyed Confederate monuments Trump asked if we were going to destroy monuments to George Washington next.

Let us be clear about this: THAT IS THE ENTIRE GOD DAMN POINT!

Step 1: make the wholesale destruction of anything related to the Confederacy acceptable because slavery.

Step 2: update the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC to mention that Jefferson owned slaves, and mandate that professors teach that Jefferson was a white supremacist at the University of Virginia, which he founded.

Step 3: erase the monuments to Jefferson all together.

Step 4: erase his body of works – the principles enshrined in the Deceleration of Independence and the founding of this nation.

Step 5: repeat for all the other founders.

It is already being done to George Washington in Social Justice social media.

Mayor and corrupt piece of shit Bill de Blasio is considering taking down the statue of Columbus in NYC.

A leading thought by Leftist antisemites is that Israel has no legitimate right to exist.  They say that the land was stolen from the Palestinians by the British and given to the Jews because of European guilt about the Holocaust and that it shouldn’t have ever been founded.  Forget that Jews have lived there for 5,000 years and had several Kingdoms in the region, it is an illegitimate state.

I truly believe that everything the Left is doing right now is to move the Overton Window of Americas illegitimacy into the mainstream of the left of center crowd.

Turn Columbus, Jefferson, Washington and others into nothing but genocidal, white supremacist, slave traders and America suddenly is not the shining city on the hill but a North American version of Israel or Rhodesia.  An illegitimate colonial state that should be done away with, like they did to Rhodesia and want to do with Israel.

Fr some magical reason, we are to forget that the only death that happened  in Charlottesville was by using a car and the injuries were mostly from the ones on his side of politic using assorted weaponry, none firearms.

But what is so important about banning something that did not cause deaths or injuries? Well, it did interfere with the effective use of speech suppression by Antifa. You see, not even the most dedicated Lefty is willing to sacrifice his life by trying to attack somebody carrying a loaded firearm and might return the favor with the deployment of high velocity lead projectiles.

It has been a while since I checked the small arms manufacturing numbers for the US. Last time was when the UN and international Gun Control groups were trying to shame us saying we were the Number One exporter of guns and in the billions of dollars so the US should go under the UN Small Weapons control crap.

One thing theses international idiots conveniently forgot to explain is that they were including in those “billions” all weapons systems. That includes items like tanks, missiles, planes, etc. But they needed to do whatever is necessary to further their agenda and we know lying is fundamental.

I lost which blogger posted the latest ATF Report on Firearm Commerce in the United States  (my apologies and hat tip) and although he went for the NFA items, I checked production numbers, exports and imports.

Firearms manufactured (2015): 9,358,661.
Firearms exported (2015):               343,456.
Firearms imported (2015):             3,930,211.

I am giving 2015 numbers because the numbers for 2016 in production are not released until a year after. But these are good enough for display.

1- Only 3.66% of firearms manufactured in the US are exported. The rest are for internal use and enjoyment.
2- We imported 10 times more firearms that exported in 2015.  We imported a total of 5,137,771 firearms in 2016 according to the ATF report.

And the countries we import from?

OK, I thought we were done with Taurus. The Lifetime Warranty alone is what’s keeping Brazil in the red.

It seems Florida slipped to third on overall NFA items if my memory serves right. California is above us by just a thousand items and Texas is number one, specially silencers. with 242,859 and second is Florida with measly 85,998!

San Antonio – A program intended to help police officers identify where a shooting happens, get there quicker and ultimately cut down on crime has been stripped from the proposed city budget because city leaders said it’s not effective. It cost the city $270,000 to put ShotSpotters on the city’s crime-ridden east and west sides, but police Chief William McManus said the program’s results don’t match up with its hefty price tag.
“The measure of success for the police department would be arrests and case closures, and we have not seen it at all. We’ve gotten four arrests,” McManus said.

An expenditure of $270,000 for four arrests. That comes to $67,500 per arrest.

The average salary for a police officer in San Antonio is $47,986 a year.  That is 5 officers that the city could be using.

The problem with ShotSpotter (other than accuracy) is that the company and the cities getting the system, seems to firmly believe shooters will remain in place long enough for the police to arrive and arrest them.

Oh well… it is only taxpayer’s money, right?
