The Alabama race inside perspective

I read Miguel’s post and I wanted to do one more.

Roy Moore was a garbage candidate.   Every media outlet focused on the sexual accusation against him.

Leaving that aside, he was suspended from the Alabama supreme court – twice – for violating the law, one time for violating the First Amendment.  I don’t take kindly to judicial activism be it Left wing or Right.

He was a bloviating, evangelical, asshole who got into trouble with the law for his antics.

He comes from the Joel Osteen school of evangelicalism.  A lot of show of faith but not a nice person in practice.  (I believe a millionaire televangelist is nothing but a blasphemer who takes the Lord’s name in vein for personal weath.)

Yes I agree that the Supreme Court of Alabama should not have a tax payer funded 10 Commandments statue in front of it.

His press conference were a train wreck.

He declined to debate Jones.

His media surrogates were a clown show.

And on Tuesday the people of Alabama, in a narrow margin, decided that Jones was the cleanest turd in the bowl.

I didn’t find the results of the election too surprising.   It was a microcosm of the National election with the high population density, educated, and black counties going Dem and more rural white counties going Republican.

What worries me is that this will send a message to the Dems that Alabama can be the Deep South’s Colorado.   They have a tiny toe hold and can now ship in California liberals and Bloomberg lackeys and turn the state purple.

The national Dems need to understand that a vote for Jones was not a vote for Schumer or Pelosi.

Hillary Clinton and the God damn celebrities taking a victory lap like they won in Alabama is just fucking insulting. No, Hollywood did not win in Alabama. Hillary Clinton did not win in Alabama. Roy Moore lost. Making the Alabama special election a national referendum is a huge fucking mistake.

A big test for Jones test will be if concealed carry reciprocity gets voted on in the Senate.  It’s easy for a Democrat to say he supports the Second Amendment when it means duck hunting with an over-under. It’s something totally different when it means the right to bare arms in public.  In Alabama, we love our carry permits.  We’ll see if Jones supports Alabama or the Party.

My only take on the Moore v. Jones Alabama Race.

The Democrats are celebrating they managed to squeeze 20,715 votes over the Republicans after running a campaign that had untold millions of dollars spent, unproven accusations of pedophilia, practically 100% FREE negative news coverage against Republican candidate and the ceremonial sacrifice of two sitting Democrat Senators.

Just for bragging rights to say Trump is losing.

Wow.

PS: The clock on pedophilia as useful tool against an opponent is now on. It may be use to some effect a couple of more time, but it will probably die sooner than expected as all the sexual scandals do. Don’t believe me? We went from Gary Hart losing his political future for a fling in 1988, to Bill Clinton getting his cigar smoked in the Oval Office in 1993.

PS 2: So I could not help myself last night.

Theme Restaurant

Growing up, my best friend was of Venezuelan heritage.   Going to his house, I loved eating his mother’s cooking.  Especially at Christmas time.  Areapas, hallacas, pan de jamon, paella, all were excellent.

So I’ve been thinking about opening up a Venezuelan restaurant.   Not here in Alabama, but in one of those deep blue states where millionaire celebrities who defended Hugo Chaves lives and the college kids will tell you that Venezuela is not real socialism.

Here’s my idea.

Patrons would come in, go to the counter, place an order, and pay.

No matter what they ordered, they’d be given a plate of rotting garbage picked out of the dumpster from the restaurant next door.

If they complain, the waiter will beat them with a stick.

With very little expenses – no need to buy food, toilet paper, or cooking equipment – I should be rather profitable.

If this works out, I might open an authentic North Korean restaurant with the same business model too.

Big Apple Bus Tours

With all the carpet bagging going on in Alabama right now, it has given me an idea.

If CCW Reciprocity passes and becomes law, I want to set up a charter bus service that takes armed citizens from Southern and Mid Western states on a concealed carry shopping trip to Times Square.

The bus service would make sure everyone knows and complies with the law.

Just go to NYC, do some shopping, and come home.   While packing.

The very thought of bus loads of “rednecks” and “flyover country bumpkins” carrying guns in their city would result in just about every pair of pants The Island being ruined, permanently.
