OK, this is getting out of hand. Before anyone gets spun up about this legislation being some sort of stealth gun control, you need to be aware of who is selling you this.
Congressman Massie has NEVER supported HR 38 since its introduction. He has NEVER signed on as a co-sponsor to the bill, long before “Fix NICS” had anything to do with it. I know this because I am a constituent of Massie’s, and when I discovered that he was not a co-sponsor of HR 38, I called his office to ask why.
I was informed by his staff that the Congressman did in fact NOT support HR 38 for various reasons (none of them having anything to do with Fix NICS), and that he would NOT be co-sponsoring the bill.
Fast forward to last week, when HR 38 finally made it out of committee, and now the ostensibly pro-2A Massie has to face the possibility that he will have go on record as voting “no” on national concealed carry reciprocity. And all of a sudden today, he alerts frightened gun owners of the boogeyman of Fix NICS coming to get them.
Consider that if public sentiment were to suddenly swing against HR 38 because of the appearance of this boogeyman…pro- 2A Congressman Massie no longer is facing scrutiny for voting against reciprocity. Instead, he is hailed as a modern day Paul Revere, warning us all of the redcoats’ approach, and voting “no” on national reciprocity only to save us from the loss of our rights.
Do yourself a favor, and read the bill for yourself. It’s only 28 pages. Don’t simply regurgitate and re-post the opinion of a politician trying to mask his true position.
I have no idea when it happened, but as I was filling the NRA form to support certain incoming legislation, the automated thing told me I was not on my old District 25 but now I am a part of District 24. No way! It has to be wrong.
I checked and it was true. Sometime when I was not looking, I got redistricted and I am not happy about it.

Plans to put down hero service dogs Kevin, Dazz and Driver are in place to happen next week.
Experienced handlers have come forward to say they want to house the much-loved dogs, who have helped save hundreds of lives.
Kevin and Dazz served in Afghanistan where they searched for explosives and Driver worked for the police force.
Service dogs have saved my life on numerous occasions. We have a duty to save them.
In Afghanistan when I was on a patrol the dogs found an IED in front of us, I was number three in line, I was very, very lucky to survive.
They also saved countless lives when I was in the Special Air Service sniffing out explosives.
Dogs like Kevin, Dazz and Driver are an asset when they are serving but they even more of an asset when they are retired.
We owe them every chance possible to be housed and not killed.

We have come a long way from the times of Vietnam when a serving dog could expect nothing but being terminated at the end of its service. But we still need to find help and homes for those dogs that have fought in the Sand Box.

I am getting tired of saying the same shit over and over: Do not trust anybody about what they tell you about an incoming bill. Find the text yourself and read the fucking thing. There is a lot of bullshit flying right now and it comes straight from an alleged pro rights group that has even received awards for “defending rights” but they mostly scream a lot, say they passed bills in congress or SCOTUS when never did and are a great fund-raising machine. I don’t mention them in my blog for that reason and that is some shit because I have no problem displaying the name of mass killers.
And if you keep sending money to those morons, stop and actually send it to me, I need it more and at least I am not hurting our nation.
