The Committee to Protect Journalists named President Trump as the winner of its “Overall Achievement in Undermining Global Press Freedom” award in its “Press Oppressors” awards Monday. The committee released a list of top global press oppressors on Monday in response to Trump’s upcoming “fake news” awards, giving Trump the top honor.

Trump was also named the runner-up in the “Most Thin-skinned” category, losing the top spot to Turkish President Erdoğan.

Really? We are talking about the same President Erdoğan who in your own site you denounce for sending 73 journalists to jail while Trump has sent not a single one? You yourselves say that the Presidents that have the tightest control over their media are President Xi Jinping of China and Vladimir Putin of Russia by a combination of threats, jail and eliminating independent sources of news. But no, Trump is worse.

Maybe President Trump’s verbosity has led to the murder of Journalist in the US… and the answer is no. The country with the dubious honor of having the most journalist murdered (not killed while covering an event) in 2017 was Mexico with the United States sporting a big ass zero and that is according to Committee to Protect Journalists’ own database.

So you have to wonder with so many well-defined threats and real consequences for Journalists around the world, how come CPJ had to come up with its “Overall Achievement in Undermining Global Press Freedom” award against Trump. Maybe the answer resides on where and who is part of the entity. They are in New York City and this is a list of some (not all) of the member of the board of directors and assorted positions:

So suddenly it make sense why President Trump got such a nasty award: The same thin-skinned Fake-News-martini-Sipping Journos who get targeted by the President’s tweets are the ones who thought that was worse than jailing or murdering fellow journalists.

So basically we have Fake News awarding a Fake Award to the President.

A few days ago Bernie Sanders sent out this Tweet.

It is a video from a group Patriotic Millionaires which is made up of a bunch of left leaning millionaires who claim to want to pay more in taxes.

Nothing is stopping them from doing that.  They are free to donate to the US Treasury.  They are free to fire their accountants and other money handlers who work tirelessly to get them the lowest tax burden they can.

What they really want is for you to pay more in taxes because they only want to pay the minimum they can and want your minimum to be higher.

Well… fuck them and the Bentley they rode in on.

Paying more in taxes is not patriotic.  Merriam-Webster defines patriot as “love for or devotion to one’s country.”  Personally, I love the Mark Twain quote “patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.”

I love my country.  It doesn’t deserve any more of my money.  It is a bureaucratic nightmare burdened with inefficiency that I don’t want to contribute to.

There are roughly 2.1 million federal employees, with a total federal workforce, including contractors of about 9 million.  Are every one of those jobs critical to the functioning of our country?  I doubt it.

Right now New York City spends about $2.5 billion per mile to lay new subway track, higher than anywhere else in the world.  Almost all of that is due to inefficiencies and extra people with make-work jobs.  We help pay for this.  California wants the Federal goverment to help pay for its light rail that costs $64 billion and does nothing useful.

The F35 is a piece of shit aircraft that does nothing well and cost the goverment $400 billion dollars.

Barack Obama gets a presidential pension of $200,000 per year, or about 30 minutes of speaking fees.  Seeing how so many politicians use  their office to get rich with insider trading, book deals, or speaking fees I think it is time to end the pension and healthcare coverage for elected officials, all of them.

While veterans were dying waiting for treatment, the VA was handing out bonuses to management.

NASA spent money on outreach to the Muslim world while the Space Shuttle was mothballed.

The Federal government gave Planned Parenthood $528 million to launder to the Democrat party.

I have no interest in supporting this waste and greed and corruption with my tax dollars.  That does not make me unpatriotic.

If you really are concerned about sending kids to college, don’t pay more in taxes, just find some poor kid with good grades and pay his tuition.

There are plenty of charities that do a lot more good, a lot more efficiently, than the Federal government.

What I won’t do is be shamed into voting to have more of my money go into this terrible system.

If these millionaires want to throw their money into the National Money Hole, they can.  I don’t want to.

Most people are aware of the game “The six degrees of Kevin Bacon.”  The goal is to link any person in Hollywood to Kevin Bacon by what movies they were in.

I propose a new version “The six degrees of Kevin Spacey.”  The goal is to link any person in Hollywood to Kevin Spacey by what actor they were in.

A woman who graduated with a degree in Critical Theory from Evergreen State College has started a Feminist Business School.

Why?

Because someone with a degree in whining about everything that makes America and the West great from a racist joke of an institution is the perfect person to charge $1700 per course or $250 for 75 minutes of consulting.

Her business proposes to teach you that capitalism is masculine and therefore evil and that you should learn the feminine economy.  It goes like this.

She has her principles.  Other than “tell the truth” I don’t know what any of them mean.  Then again I don’t have a business degree.  Or a bullshit degree for that matter.

The one thing I can tell you is that this woman, like every Social Justice Warrior and Communist advocate, she’s a hypocrite.

She can talk about the feminist economy all she wants, and its spiritual enrichment, but at the end of the day, this is in her about page.
