Vice is almost there

A few weeks ago Vice News did a segment on Knife Rights, which they referred to as the “NRA of Knives.”

This was before Parkland, but I just saw the video today.

It is a good segment, not biased an opinionated.  It is worth the almost seven minutes of your time.

One part of that segment that really stood out to me was the public defender saying that he never thought he’s be on the same side as a Second Amendment group.

The entirely of the segment could be described as “people are getting punished for owning ordinary tools that can be made to mimic banned items, even if they never used them to hurt anybody.

That seems really, really close to the argument against banning AR-15’s.

So very close.

Maybe simply banning possession of an item doesn’t’ actually reduce crime, it just looks like it the way police can manipulate statistics, and only harms law abiding citizens who just want to be in compliance.

I wonder if after this segment how that reporter from Vice would answer the question “can you see how AWB’s are pretty much the same thing?”

They are so very close to learning a lesson here, I wonder if they could be pushed over the edge into clarity.

Stoneman Douglas High School implements security measures. Schadenfreude ensues.

(CNN)When students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas return to class after spring break next week, they’ll be required to carry clear backpacks.
The move is meant to ramp up security measures after last month’s deadly shooting in Parkland, Florida, and a series of breaches since.
“Clear backpacks are the only backpacks that will be permitted on campus,” said Broward County School Superintendent Robert Runcie said in a letter sent to parents.
The district will provide the bags for free, he said.
In addition to the new backpack policy, students and school staff will be required to wear IDs at all times while on campus.
The school district is weighing whether to use metal-detecting wands at Stoneman Douglas entrances, and could move to install permanent metal detectors in the future.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas will require students to carry only clear backpacks

But the students are unhappy because that is not what the handlers programmed in their little heads full of mush. I screen capped the quote because it is one for the ages:

Some students have said they’re not happy with the changes.
Tyra Hemans, 19, a senior, told CNN she supports parts of the new policy, such as the ID requirement. But she believes other security measures, such as forcing students to carry clear backpacks, don’t adequately address the real problem with school safety, which she says is lax gun laws.
“I’m not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person’s actions?” she said.

Maybe we should send Ms. Hemans a free NRA membership so she can join the club as we are all veterans of being blamed for stuff we did not do.

And sometimes you just want to say “fuxx it!” and let the word burn.

Saw this last night in Twitter. So the NRA is being attacked by every Gun Control group and other organizations and somehow this group decided to join in the Opposition as a recruiting and fundraising tool?

We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.

Citi Group Hypocrisy

Citigroup is getting medieval with gun related businesses because Guns Are Bad.

Yet, they have no problem recommending tobacco investments to its clients?

This is from the CDC Fact Sheet about Smoking & Tobacco Use.

  • Cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States, including more than 41,000 deaths resulting from secondhand smoke exposure. This is about one in five deaths annually, or 1,300 deaths every day.
  • More than 16 million Americans are living with a disease caused by smoking.
  • Total economic cost of smoking is more than $300 billion a year, including nearly $170 billion in direct medical care for adults.
  • More than $156 billion in lost productivity due to premature death and exposure to secondhand smoke.

But I am the problem. I am the uncaring asshole. They are the kings of morality and Love The Little Children. Rubbish!

They hate us. They want us under submission even if it means we need to die. We are to conform to what they dictate or else they will strangle us till we quit, renounce or die.

Ladies and Gents, what we are seeing is Mao’s Cultural Revolution in the United States.

But Gun Culture ain’t gonna lay down and take it.

My idea about Citigroup.

Instead of boycott, why don’t several million gun owners decided to buy one or two shares a piece and then we have one representative go have a nice little chat with them about this dumb policy?

You reckon they would pay attention to somebody that represents 10 million shares?

Just a thought.

Goebbels Jr. is a raging Lefty hypocrite

After spring break, all Broward County students will be required to wear student ID at all times.

Hogg wants universal background checks and all gun sales to be over age 21, which will obviously require some form of goverment issued ID to verify.

But…

He thinks that requiring ID to vote is racist.

Yeah, it makes to sense to me too.  This is just further proof that he isn’t really interested in reducing gun violence or increasing school safety, just pushing a far left Liberal agenda with his unassailable victim status.

Hypocrite asshole.
