The article ia about a bunch of cities suing the State and the Governor in order to eliminate state Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition Laws. But the photograph caught my attention and it was not the flag but the firearm:
Why is the Herald using that particular illustration? I am will guess they are trying to scare readers into think we have some sort of Wild West life going across the State and that includes Open Carry.
Yes, I think they are being deceitful assholes because they can get away with it.
PS: I left them a comment asking why the pic was used. All comments from that article now appear to have been removed.
VIERA, Fla. — Commissioners in Brevard County voted unanimously Tuesday to allow employees with concealed carry permits to carry guns on the job.
The commission voted 5-0 during their regular Board of County Commissioners meeting.
The new policy takes effect immediately. Any of the county’s more than 2,000 concealed-weapons-permitted employees can now carry a firearm on the job.
“These are law-abiding citizens,” Commissioner John Tobia said. “For one reason or another, this previous county commission had said they don’t deserve the right to have their gun at work. I disagreed with that, and thankfully, this board changed that policy,” Tobia said.
I guess the Mersyde Police has enough dutiful servants checking the telescreens and violators will be reported to Miniuv who will sweep them away and take them to Room 101.
“I will not be specific because I intend to get away with it.
First, if you are coming after my individual civil rights, it’s personal.
Second, when it has become personal, nothing will be below me and everything will be on the table. You, your employer, your house, your business, your spouse, kids, parents. Because as it stands today, for you, everything of MINE is already on the table. My business, home, car, employer, family. Social media accounts, Amazon buying records, memberships, donations.
You will regret living under the same rules you imposed on me.”
New Orleans police have arrested one suspect in connection with the armed robbery at the Waffle House on Elysian Fields Avenue on Thursday night (April 19).
Ernest Thomas was arrested on one count of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery, but remains in the hospital as he recovers from gunshot wounds, NOPD said.
…
Thomas stood on the side by the counter and served as lookout for the other man. A customer armed with his personal firearm drew his weapon as the other robber approached him, causing the robber to flee. Thomas then pointed his own weapon at the armed customer, the police release said.
The customer fired several shots at Thomas, who then ran out of the Waffle House and fled in a white Chrysler with the other robber. The customer later told police that he believed he had struck Thomas.
Later in the night, a white Chrysler pulled up at a local emergency room and dropped off a man with several gunshot wounds to the back, hip and arm. The man matched witness descriptions of the injured robber, according to the release.
I love happy endings. Now if you are so kind and check the date of the article, you will realize that this particular event happened 2 days before the shooting at the Waffle House in Nashville. Why, one wonders, this particular Waffle House event was not publicized? It is a rhetorical question.
And without taking anything away from James Shaw Jr. and his brave action, but I read many years ago in Tom Clancy’s Clear and Present Danger that armed combat beats unarmed combat. I have tried to live under that principle ever since.
So right now if your prejudice leads you to think that she is a miserable, hateful progressive, that despises America, Conservatives, Jews, and everyone to the right Bernie Sanders, and lashes out at them with Social Justice jargon on social media… you are right.
She came to national prominence because of some tweets she made about the passing of Barbara Bush.
Some people suggested that she be fired for this.
I am of two minds about that. One the one hand she does have a freedom of speech. That is her inalienable right. On the other, this is the kind of shit that causes donors and alumni to stop writing checks to the school, and does a school have the right to get rid of faculty that hurts the reputation of the institution.
She doubled down with an epic level of gloating about her salary and tenure.
Now she had enraged enough people that her twitter history started to become public.
Her hatred of Barbara Bush was only the tip of her racist, progressive iceberg.
And a whole bunch of awful shit that will take up too much space to cover here.
Then videos of her surfaced calling for Leftists to engage in acts of terrorism. She praises hijackers and terrorists who killed Americans. And she’s all about buying guns to engage in Left Wing violence.
Now I am all about the Second Amendment. Just like her freedom of speech, she has the right to keep and bear arms.
I’m not too terribly worried however, because this is exactly what she looks like.
She doesn’t look all that combat effective.
That’s a big fucking target.
Right now Professor Jarrar the Hutt is just mouthing off on social media and at places where her Che-like, progressive, revolutionary chic gets her accolades and applause.
Just remember that he hates you and wants to kill you, and she represents the California State University system.
This is why I want a national divorce. I’d rather separate from her peacefully than deal with her terrorism.
However, if shit does go down in Fresno, it will finally be the excuse I need to buy a Greener harpoon gun.
