Briana Wu for the Holocaust

Brianna Wu is still running for Congress in Massachusetts.

This was what she Tweeted about the Gaza border riots.

Hamas themselves admitted that 53 of the people killed were Hamas terrorists.

Still Brianna Wu wants to use her Congressional office to support terrorists over Israel.

Keep in mind this is in the Hamas charter of 1988:

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it

She is running on a platform that favors Hamas obliterating Israel.

I think she needs a new slogan: Briana Wu, the pro Second Holocaust candidate.

Mr. George says you should carry a knife

I was going through the Publix Twitter to see if there was anything related to the Adam Putnam issue and I saw this old Tweet.

This is the story, relavent section in bold:

It was 4 p.m. on just another Wednesday, and Andy Harvey was on I-95 headed to his last delivery for the day. This day seemed no different than any other. Andy was delivering dairy items to Publix stores, which was his same route for nearly 10 years.

When he reached Daytona Beach, Florida near the I-95 and LPGA interchange, Andy noticed a car swerving ahead in the distance. Not even a couple of miles later, he saw the car veer off the road and go straight into a retention pond on the side of the highway.

Andy pulled off the freeway and jumped into action to try and save the motorist. Andy said he did what anybody else would’ve done in that situation. “I saw somebody in need of help and knew what I had to do.” Andy jumped out of his 18-wheeler and leaped into the retention pond followed by another motorist who came to help after witnessing the accident. Andy used his box cutter as well as a pocket knife to cut the convertible top and the motorist’s seat belt so he could pull the driver out of the vehicle to safety!

It was determined by the paramedics that the driver of the vehicle experienced a seizure and passed out. Had Andy and the other driver who jumped in not been around to help, the driver wouldn’t have made it out of the pond alive.

Miguel has said it before, I’ll say it again: carry a knife!

The need for sustenance.

Although my pile of unread books still sits high, I felt the need to revisit books that I had enjoyed in the past. The one I selected was Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets by David Simon.

But even the most faithful, now and again needs to revisit the an old friend that gives them solace and hope. So, I pulled out that Old Friend in soft cover edition.

Still amazed at the asking prices for a new hardback copy.

Paperbacks are going for about $100 less.

Let’s hope the new editions come out soon.  One thing: If you buy any version when it comes out, keep a receipt: take a picture, scan, screen cap, etc. There may be a small raffle coming your way.

Licking the hand of the King

Law professor and Minnesota Senate Candidate Richard Painter Tweeted this:

I  have only one reply to him.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” – Samuel Adams

Get a sandwich at Publix

Adam Putnam is running for Governor or Florida.  What I’ve read about him, I like him.  He’s the current FL Commissioner of Agriculture, so his name is on my FL CCW permit.  The FL CCW system is also the best run program in the state.

He’s very pro vocational and skilled labor education, which is something that I care deeply about.

The “New South” is all about manufacturing.  While this may be anathema to the Miami-Date through West Palm Beach area, this would be huge to northern Florida the way it is to Alabama and Georgia.

He’s being supported by Publix.

The Florida supermarket giant Publix has given more money to Adam Putnam’s gubernatorial bid than any other candidate since at least 1995 and likely for the entirety of the company’s history.

Putnam, like Publix, is a product of Polk County. He hails from Bartow, just 20 minutes from Publix’s headquarters in Lakeland — which company officials say is a factor in their support for him.

“As the hometown candidate, Publix has had a long-standing relationship with Commissioner Putnam,” spokesman Brian West said. “We support pro-business candidates, and believe Commissioner Putnam will make a great governor.”

Furthermore, Publix is a supporter of Florida agriculture, sourcing a lot of produce locally, and Putnam is the Ag Commissioner.

Putnam is also apparently pro gun.  This has resulted in, as you guessed it, an attack on Publix by the Twitter mob.

Even the serial liar and terrible person Fabiola Santiago of the Miami Herald got in on this anti Publix hate.

So now Publix is backing away and “clarifying it’s position.”

Publix distanced itself from the National Rifle Association on Tuesday in posts on social media after facing backlash for donations to Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam.

After drawing criticism for its support of Putnam, Publix’s verified account tweeted that “When we are deciding which candidate to financially support during an election, we consider a number of factors. Publix has not provided financial support to the National Rifle Association.”

I’m not taking that as an anti-gun or anti-NRA position.  They don’t want to be involved in the gun debate and that’s fine by me.

They want to support someone that is pro-business and pro-agriculture.

The problem is that we all know that is not good enough for the antis.  They will press it.  You can’t support a candidate who is pro-gun for any reason.  You can’t just say “no comment” on guns.  They will only accept total acquiescence to their anti-gun beliefs.

Don’t let them win.

Go to Publix.  Buy a deli sandwich (my favorite is the Cubano and ask them to make it with the Mojo pork instead of the deli pork) or some hot wings (the best supermarket deli fried chicken) or some ham croquetas (seriously good), and when you get the receipt, go online and do the survey and tell them that you are pro-NRA and for Publix not to back down to the antis.

If you don’t sport Putnam, that’s fine.  This isn’t so much about him as showing Publix that they shouldn’t fold to the antis.

The antis love to boycott.  I have a feeling Publix will listen to paying customers a lot more than Activist Barbie moms in Colorado, 1,200 miles from the nearest Publix.

The idiotic concept of a fair fight in a life or death situation.

For the Left, if there is a battle and only one side takes casualties, then it was not fair. Somebody was cheating. Fair means both sides have people die, then and only then it is considered “valid.”

Possibly the dumbest/dangerous concept ever uttered by Liberals.

The problem is that the same principle is taken outside the battlefield and into civilian life: you cannot exercise your right to defend yourself until you have been injured in a life-threatening manner.

Don’t laugh, this is a very much alive legal doctrine in other countries. If somebody attacks you and you respond, you are obligated to wait and see if the other party continues the attack or decides to stop.  If the Bad guy shoots you and you shoot back, you can only use one bullet and must stop shooting to see what is the reaction from the other side of the conflict. If he withdraws, great. If he returns fire, then you can shoot one bullet again provided that he was a bad shot and you are not on the floor dying from the second gun shot wound.

I have spoken of this case before in the blog: A lawyer friend of mine from Venezuela called about a case she was handling as defense lawyer. A home owner heard somebody breaking in his house late at night, got his legally registered handgun and found an equally armed individual roaming the house. Shots were exchanged and bad guy died. The homeowner was charged with murder, why? He performed what we know as a Mozambique drill on the home invader and the judge investigating the case (Judges, not attorneys investigate cases down there) determined that shooting three times was “ensañamiento” (cruelty) and thus self-defense did not apply.

My friend explained to me that she think she could successfully argue to the judge that the second shot was just nerves and stress that affected the homeowner’s handling of the weapon, but she was trying to figure out how to explain the shot to the head within the jurisprudence parameters of the country. I sent her as much literature as I could, but at the end the case ended up pleaded down to Manslaughter with a sentence of 10 years and the man was released after serving 7 years.

I hope you understand the psychological effect that this has on normal people. First you have the fact that the last thing you want when your life is being threatened is to start thinking about the shit storm that will fall upon you when the event is over. second is that you wonder if just being a victim of crime is a better choice than defending yourself. You only get victimized once if you submit to a criminal, but you get a double dose of victimization if the government investigates your “act of violence” against the criminal you successfully defended yourself against.

I you think that does not transform people into willing victims, just look at England.

‘Nuff said.

Note to Debbie: They are your neighbors.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) had stern words for the National Rifle Association on Tuesday, responding to the gun group’s new president attacking student survivors of the shooting in Parkland, Florida, for allegedly engaging in “civil terrorism.”
“The NRA is kind of just shy of a terrorist organization,” Schultz told HuffPost. “They have done everything they can to perpetuate the culture of violence that we have in our country with the spread of assault weapons across the nation.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: The NRA Is ‘Just Shy Of A Terrorist Organization’

Dear Rep. Wasserman Schultz. I know for a fact that there are a bunch, and I mean a lot, of NRA members in your county. I know you cannot keep your panties dry at the idea of declaring the NRA a terrorist organization and persecute its members but, do you think it is a wise idea to fuck around with your armed neighbors?

If you succeed in making us terrorist, don’t be surprised at the consequences.

Yes, it is a made up pic.
