The only Klansmen that are on college campuses these days are actually lab equipment and Dominican monks. These kids are so woke that they see racist giants in the windmills.
Why let facts get in the way of a political ad.
This is sure to be as effective as Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” comment at driving people away.
The mom slamming a cocktail in the afternoon is a nice touch though. Nothing says “xanax and box wine” limousine liberal like drinking away the guilt that your son is a republican.
This is real. Pat Davis is an Albuquerque city councilor running for Congress in New Mexico. He is “Our Progressive Champion For Congress.”
This is his latest campaign ad.
That’s a logical and well thought out argument. Six million law abiding American citizens who just want to be left alone to practice their hobby and buy what want in peace. What’s Pat’s opinion on them? “Fuck them and their rights.”
That platform worked so well for Hogg and company it might just get this guy into federal office.
His gun platform is just about as bad as you can imagine.
Co-Sponsor and help pass a federal law requiring background checks for every gun sale. No exceptions.
So impossibly universal background checks that will do nothing to reduce crime.
Restore the Obama-era rule requiring courts to alert the FBI when they adjudicate a felon, domestic violence offender or person with dangerous mental health diagnoses who should not be able to purchase a gun.
Was this ever taken away? Or is he talking about the Social Security designated payee program? If so, this guy has no idea what he is talking about.
Co-Sponsor the Keep America Safe Act (H.R. 4052/S. 1945) that prohibits the transfer or possession of a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept more, than 10 rounds of ammunition.
High capacity magazine confiscation.
Support a return to the Clinton-era Assault Weapons Ban.
Did nothing. Will do nothing again.
Introduce federal legislation like the one I passed in Albuquerque giving police and the FBI the ability to investigate shooting threats made via social media.
Like the one Marco Rubio is working on?
Support common-sense “no fly, no buy” legislation to prevent suspected terrorists from buying weapons with due process protections to challenge denials,
Taking people’s constitutional rights away without due process because some bureaucrat puts your name on a secret list that you can’t get off is a bad idea. There is a reason this died on the vine very quickly. Even the ACLU said that was a bad idea. When the ACLU and NRA agree on something, you know it’s bad.
Protect the rights of responsible gun owners, like myself, who keep our guns away from children and respect our hunting laws.
“I’m a Fudd with a 22 that I never shoot sitting in a closet, so you can trust that I’m not anti-gun. I just want to take away everything that looks scary because I fundamentally don’t respect the Second Amendment.
My background as a police officer and gun violence survivor myself has given me a voice and platform that is uniquely positioned to lead this fight in my position now and in Congress next year.
“I’m a statist thug of a cop who doesn’t like civilian gun ownership. Actually, I couldn’t even hack it as a statist thug of a cop because I gave that up to become a community organizer.”
New Mexico needs a representative in Congress who can stand up to the gun lobby and advocate for policies that help save lives, such as universal background checks for all gun purchases and preventing people who are deemed too dangerous to fly in an airplane from being able to legally buy a gun.
“The Gun Lobby!!! It’s not that there are millions of people who own guns and want to preserve their rights. It’s the gun lobby.”
I wear attacks on me by the NRA as a badge of honor and I will not back down on common-sense gun reforms that are proven to reduce gun violence and make our communities safer.
“I take pride in my desire to strip law abiding people of their Constitutional rights. I like to lie about how my desire for gun bans and confiscation are ‘common sense’ like everyone agrees that telling people to hand over to police hundreds of dollars in property is common sense.”
He is very proud of is endorsements by anti-gun groups.
Note that last one. That is full identity politics. He goes into that more on his Meet Pat page.
There are just six openly gay members of the US House of Representatives. Pat will be the seventh member of that caucus. He was endorsed by the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund in November 2017, alongside US Sen. Tammy Baldwin and 8 other incumbents and candidates deemed most viable and likely to protect and expand LGBT voices in Congress.
Vote for Pat because he’s gay.
Personally I don’t care about a person’s sexual private sexual life. Your sexual proclivities are as much as a reason to vote for a candidate as a reason to vote against them – that is, not at all.
If I ask the question “what are your qualifications for office?”
The answer should not be “well, I love to take dick in my butt.”
Who you like to sleep with, or your skin color, or any other immutable characteristic is neither a qualifier or disqualifier. Except among those who play identity politics.
As you can imagine, everything else in his platform is radically Left.
He is proud that he is a co-sponsor HB676, a single-payer “Medicare for All” bill endorsed by the Congressional Progressive Caucus. After he takes your guns he’s going to take your healthcare. He might also murder your sick child in a hospital bed with a court order.
Pat is also a for mandating solar power. Another unicorn fart idea.
So what did California do? It mandated that all new homes have solar panels on the the roof. Adding tens of thousands of dollars of solar cells to already overly expensive housing will make it easier for people to buy homes… or not.
I guess this is what Pat wants for the future of New Mexico too. Unaffordable housing and electricity.
Since he apparently wants to adopt the worst of California’s policies into New Mexico, he’s also a fan of amnesty and sanctuary for Illegal Immigrants.
I don’t know how likely his election in New Mexico might be, but he’s a lock for San Francisco.
Start with a gun grabber and end with total economic destruction.
Some “provocative:” thing they are doing in Chicago.
I kinda stopped at the first outright lie, no need to continue:
(Chicago — 9 May 2018) The Escape Pod in partnership with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence announced today that it is launching the Chicago Gun Share Program, an art installation in Daley Plaza that was developed in response to the lack of federal gun regulations and conflicting state laws that would help protect American citizens from unnecessary gun violence.
But you know what came to mind? Treat guns like cars! I mean, sharing still needs some sort of payment form (I have seen dedicated apps) to get access to bicycles and scooters and stuff like that which is the latest rage in the big cities (and keep getting stolen like crazy). No background checks so felons can get access to the vehicles and with cars, you can even rent them at airports .
It is also hilarious that this is in Chicago where there were 100 people shot during the same weekend where over 80,000+ NRA members were congregated in a small location of Dallas and nobody was hurt (Credit cards might have been seriously dented), yet we have Cook County Assholes trying to get preachy on us.
I’ve been getting back into the swing of USPSA. I had to take a few months off after the birth of our second. I just wasn’t able to leave my wife with the baby and three year old long enough to shoot a full match.
I shoot Single Stack major. I handicap myself because I shoot the venerable 45 ACP and so have more recoil than someone shooting 40 S&W. Shooting 45 ACP is a requirement for IDPA Custom Defensive Pistol (CDP) so that’s what I built since I wanted one gun for competition. The only difference in my IDPA and USPSA rigs is the number of mags I carry.
What I noticed is the number of shooters who have gone in for the Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) division.
I don’t like PCC. I love PCC’s for a lot of things, like home defense and fun, but pulling one out for USPSA seems… almost like cheating.
You don’t have to draw from a holster, you start from the low ready facing up range. You don’t have to shoot one handed. There is no size limits to magazines so you may never have to reload during a stage (one shooter I saw had a 42 round mag). Shooting a rifle with a 16 inch barrel, red dot, and over size compensator at 10 yards, you can’t miss the ‘A’ zone unless you try. On short range targets, you can just about touch the cardboard with the muzzle.
If you feel the need to shoot a rifle for speed, go to a tactical carbine match. Shooting off hand at 100 yards is more challenging.
I have come to the conclusion that shooting a PCC is like sitting down to pee. It’s fine for women and little kids who still have accuracy problems, but it’s just not something a grown man with self respect should do.
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man is accused of hiding his legless fugitive girlfriend from police by stuffing her into a plastic storage container.
Forty-eight-year-old John Robert Carr Jr. of Winter Haven is charged with resisting arrest. News outlets report Carr attempted to hide 39-year-old Krystle Lee Anderson from U.S. marshals and Polk County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday.
Anderson was wanted for failing to appear in court on charges including false imprisonment related to a 2015 incident when she allegedly held people hostage at a Burger King with a BB gun. It ended in a shooting with police and she lost both legs.
Authorities received a tip that Anderson was with Carr. He denied Anderson was there, but an officer had spotted Carr placing the now-4-foot-tall woman into the container. She surrendered without incident.
NEWARK, NJ — A real estate company that owns thousands of units in Essex, Hudson, Atlantic and Mercer counties is allegedly trying to create a “firearm-free building” in New Jersey’s largest city. And they’re willing to start evicting tenants who won’t comply, according to a state gun rights group.
On Wednesday, the New Jersey Second Amendment Society (NJ2AS) posted a blog about the alleged gun ban at Richardson Lofts, a multi-story apartment building at 50 Columbia Street in Newark’s downtown area.
According to the NJ2AS, the building’s owner, Montclair-based RPM Development Group, is allegedly “prohibiting their tenants from owning firearms.
“NOTICE TO ALL TENANTS: Effective as of May 1, 2018, this building will be a firearm-free building. No one will be permitted to store or carry a gun or rifle, or any other type of firearm of any kind in the building or on the grounds. If it is discovered that you do have a firearm of any kind on this property, you will receive a Notice to Cease, followed by a Notice to Vacate. Please be guided accordingly.”
