The Florida ballot measure we need.

J Kb. did a nice work analyzing the anti-gun measures so I am not going over them again. However it is time we realize we are in trouble: We are being outspent and our strategies are being outsmart because we simply have not changed them and it is time to do so.
I am not saying that we dump what we have been doing till now, but we need to add fresh strategies and take the fight to the enemy. We also must understand that the enemy is not just the Gun Control Department of the Liberal/Progressive Movement, but it is the whole package. With that in mind, it is time to play dirty and take the fight to them so this is what I propose:

THE RESTORATION OF ALL CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS FOR NON-VIOLENT FELONS.

Obviously they will initially go crazy and say no, which is when you grab them by the short and curlies. Imagine them trying to defend their position implying that some parts of the Bill Of Rights matters while others don’t. They have been badgering legalization of marijuana and pointing out so many people who became felons for possessing the “evil weed” but when it comes to clear such and injustice and restoring their rights, are they going to suddenly have a change of heart and say “fuck ’em”? Do you know what a coup would it be to remove  the Reefer Vote out of the hands of the Liberals? Do you have any doubt that the new Secretary of Agriculture got there because she knows about crops or because she promised the legalization of pot and people bought it?

This is one strategy. I hope we come up with more and please, being polite against them is not required.  Dirty politics are approved.

One last note: We (gun owners) need to stop harping on each other’s Gun Organizations. We need to self-impose a moratorium on the shit-throwing as not to present an image of fragmentation and thus weakness. If politicians think we are not united and we cannot deliver a vote, they will ignore us again.

Power perceived is power achieved.

PS: Moratorium does not apply to Dudley Brown and his scam groups. They need to be politically and economically burn to the ground and salt the ashes.

Florida ballot measures to become Florifornia

A buddy of mine lives in Miami and works for Taurus.  He informed me about this.

There are two petitions to amend the Florida Constitution to be strictly anti-gun.

The first is from a group based out of Miami called Ban Assault Weapons Now.  Below is the relevant text of their petition.

(c) The legislature shall enact legislation implementing subsection (b) of this section, effective no later than December 31, 1991, which shall provide that anyone violating the provisions of subsection (b) shall be guilty of a felony.
(d) This restriction shall not apply to a trade in of another handgun.
(e) The possession of an assault weapon, as that term is defined in this subsection, is prohibited in Florida except as provided in this subsection. This subsection shall be construed in conformity with the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution as interpreted by the United States Supreme Court.
1) Definitions –
a) Assault Weapons – For purposes of this subsection, any semiautomatic rifle or shotgun capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in a fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding
device. This subsection does not apply to handguns.
b) Semiautomatic – For purposes of this subsection, any weapon which fires a single projectile or a number of ball shots through a rifled or smooth bore for each single function of the trigger without further manual action required.
c) Ammunition-feeding device – For purposes of this subsection, any magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device for a firearm.
2) Limitations –
a) This subsection shall not apply to military or law enforcement use, or use by federal personnel, in conduct of their duties, or to an assault weapon being imported for sale and delivery to a federal, state or local governmental agency for use by employees of such agencies to perform official duties
b) This subsection does not apply to any firearm that is not semiautomatic, as defined in this subsection.
c) This subsection does not apply to handguns, as defined in Article I, Section 8(b), Florida Constitution.
d) If a person had lawful possession of an assault weapon prior to the effective date of this subsection, the person’s possession of that assault weapon is not unlawful (1) during the first year after the effective date of this subsection, or (2), after the person has registered that weapon by make, model, and serial number with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement or its successor agency, as designated by the legislature. Registration records shall be available to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies for valid law enforcement purposes but shall otherwise be confidential.
3) Criminal Penalties – Violation of this subsection is a third-degree felony. The legislature may designate greater, but not lesser, penalties for violations.

This ballot measure would ban the sale and possession of all semi-auto rifles that hold more than 10 rounds, except for those owned before the amendment went into effect and registered within a year of passing of the amendment.

Failure to comply is a felony and makes you a prohibited person.

My favorite part of this petition is this right here: “This subsection shall be construed in conformity with the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution as interpreted by the United States Supreme Court.”

The Supreme Court has never explicitly ruled on the constitutionality of assault rifles.  Heller protected guns “in common use” but the 9th and 4th Circuit Courts of Appeals have ruled that the most popular rifle sold in America is not “in common use” enough to be protected by Heller.

This petition is begging for the Supreme Court to rule on this.

Believe it or not, that is the more milder of the two petitions.

The second petition is put forward by a group called Stop the Killing based in Boca Raton.  You can find the whole text here.

This ballot initiate starts by wiping this from the current Florida Constitution: Section 8,(a) The right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves and the lawful authority of the state shall not be infringed, except that the manner of bearing arms may be regulated by law.

Seriously, this petition wants to remove the right to bear arms and the right to self defense from the Florida Constitution.

Here is the rest of the text of what they want to add.

The people of Florida declare that a well-regulated militia is necessary for the security of the State and further designate the National Guard of the State of Florida and organized police forces as its militia. The Militia, while on active duty, while training or in their training facilities shall possess all types of weaponry and arms required to defend the State. The weapons shall include, but not limited to fully automatic weapons, assault weapons, large magazine weapons holding more than seven rounds of ammunition and magazines with capacity over seven rounds. No other person entering or residing in the State shall possess any weapon or firearm that functions like or has the capacity of a military style weapon. Military style weapon means any gun with a magazine capacity of more than seven rounds of ammunition or any weapon capable of firing in fully automatic mode, any weapon capable of being modified in any manner to fire in a fully automatic mode or any weapon classified as a sniper rifle. Any person other than the well-regulated militia who possesses such a gun or weapon, shall within one year of the enactment of this section
surrender that gun or weapon to the local police or militia at which time that gun or weapon shall be destroyed. Possessing such a gun or weapon thereafter shall be a felony with punishment by up to one year in prison.
Further, to protect the population of the state no person shall possess a firearm of any kind if:
1) they have been convicted of a felony;
2) convicted of three or more misdemeanors;
3) had their drivers license suspended or revoked for driving under the influence, careless or reckless driving, or excessive speeding;
4) has been the subject of two or more domestic abuse emergency calls or investigations;
5) they are a person whose mental condition has been affirmed as temporarily or permanently psychologically disturbed by a person with a medical degree;
6) or if they are a person who has made any substantiated threat of violence against another person.

This is effectively a ban on the majority of guns.

Military style weapon means any gun with a magazine capacity of more than seven rounds of ammunition or any weapon capable of firing in fully automatic mode, any weapon capable of being modified in any manner to fire in a fully automatic mode or any weapon classified as a sniper rifle.

All guns with a magazine capacity of more than seven rounds is nearly every semi-auto handgun, and depending on which definition you use, a lot of rim fire revolvers.  Just about every magazine fed 22 or pistol caliber lever action rifle is out.

Then they don’t define sniper rifle, so presumably that is going to cover every bolt action rifle with a scope on it.

Then they get into what makes a person a prohibited person.

2) convicted of three or more misdemeanors.

Not violent misdemeanors, just misdemeanors.  That includes things like ticket scalping, lewdness, vandalism, and writing bad checks.  Sure those are crimes, but are they justification for revocation of civil liberties.  How does this apply to juvenile offenders.  Does a dumb teenager who spray paints a dick on an overpass become a prohibited person?

Yes, we need to keep guns out of the hands of kids like Nikolas Cruz, but we have to recognize that kids do dumb things and a teenager having a beer at a high school party and playing music too loud shouldn’t result in a lifetime ban on firearms possession.

3) had their drivers license suspended or revoked for driving under the influence, careless or reckless driving, or excessive speeding.

Yep, excessive speeding.  That is defined as doing more than 30 over the limit.

That sounds bad until you’ve driven on I-95 through North Date where the posted limit is 55 and everybody does 80 (Miguel, back me up on how fast people blow through the Golden Glades Interchange).

5) they are a person whose mental condition has been affirmed as temporarily or permanently psychologically disturbed by a person with a medical degree

Not adjudicated mentally ill.  Just had a person with a medical degree affirm that they are temporarily psychologically disturbed.  Did you go through a bout of depression after a divorce, job loss, or personal tragedy?  You are now a prohibited person for life.

All this is going to do is make gun owners not seek any sort of help for any issue because they will be afraid they will lose their guns.

This prohibition is so extreme that there is no way it could stand up to judicial scrutiny, but it is still being pushed.

This is all Rick Scott’s fault.  He waffled on gun rights immediately after Parkland and since he gave the anti-gunners an inch, they are going to take the whole mile.

These ballot initiates will require 76,000 signatures to get on the ballot and 60% approval to pass.

That is where we are fucked.  Remember when the NRA challenged the Washington ballot anti-gun initiative for having illegitimate ballot signatures?  The state Supreme Court put the petition on the ballot anyway.

I can only image the level of cheating that Dade, Broward, and other blue county Democrats are going to do to make sure these bills make their way onto the ballot in 2020 and get passed.

This is what Florida is up against for the next two years.

The danger of “real guns” in Gaming.

Reader @MadRaodkill enjoys making my blood pressure go up and give me headaches before I have a chance for my first cup of coffee. So he sent me an article to satisfy his sadistic vein.

First thing was that I hoped they did not mean to say that digital images of real firearms is the same as the physical weapons themselves. But the tone of the article by some Brit writer, puts that in doubt.

Firearms are not part of everyday life in Britain. Apart from the occasional armed police officer scattered across city centers and airports, we rarely even see guns. But despite this, I know a lot about guns.

No, you don’t.

I could tell you the difference between the sound of an assault rifle and a pistol,

Holy shit~! You must be the British reincarnation of John Moses Browning.

or talk about the pros and the cons between using the AK-47 over the UMP.

Why don’t you tell us how many round have you put through them in tactical situations that actually happened out of range of a platter of pizza rolls

Video games have taught me a lot about different weapons,

And I bet all you know about driving a F1 McLaren also came from video games which is why the company is knocking at your door begging for your services. I am not even going into sex.

but should they use exact digital replicas of real-life guns?

It is kind of stupid to have a “realistic” WWII game using rifles that shoot tulips and fart fresh made donuts, isn’t?

After this intro by Bedroom SAS Wannabe, we go after the real issue that chaffs his British rump: To use of the “real” weapons in games, the Game designers pay the Gun Companies for a license to use them and this is EVIL because we need more gun control.

Here is the funny part: Game Designers pay for decorating their games with the images of a real gun because that is what the gamers demand. They commit the sin of actually satisfying the consumer. Imagine that!  The consumers are happy, buy the game and tell many people the same and the company makes money.

He goes on to rant against the Second Amendment and Gun Owners, but he then contradicts himself:

Some games do avoid using real-world weapons. Overwatch‘s focus on its heroes makes each unique weapon a reflection of their wielder rather than something designed for anyone to kill with.

Wait, so there is a product that indeed complies with your demands and the dozens of your follower?  If there is a market for it, it will sell like hotcakes. But perusing a bit over the game’s info and seeing this weapons, I am pretty sure they do “kill” in the game. Specially the swords which at least in one pic I saw, looks remarkably like a Japanese Katana which, if I am not mistaken, can be deadly. In fact, the author could not walk the streets of England with such device in his hand without the local constables appear with their cute and very real MP5s to stop his sorry chaffed ass.

At the end this is just a long-winded case of a British subject trying to tell Citizens how life is better without guns.

No wonder CNN didn’t cover Mohammed Mohammed

Mohammed Mohammed tried to run over some Jews walking outside a synagogue with his car.

CNN didn’t cover this anti-Semitic hate crime.

At first I thought it was because they were unable to figure out how to blame it on Trump.

Now I know it is because one of CNN’s leading pundits wished he was riding shotgun in Mohammed’s car.

“From the river to the sea” is the cry of Hamas.  It is a call for genocide of the Jews, not just those in Israel, but Jews everywhere.  Hamas has never denied this.

Now a contributor for CNN, HuffPo, BET, and a host of other progressive media sites is echoing that sentiment.

I never want to hear CNN talk about Trump’s anti-Semitism.

One of CNN’s talking heads just proposed his final solution to thunderous applause and all I hear from the Left is crickets.

And those motherfuckers wonder why I feel the need to stockpile guns.

Sheriff Scott “Amazing Leadership” Israel throws his captain and Parkland under the bus

Every time we learn something new about the Parkland shooting, it makes Broward County look worse.

Shortly after the shooting, we were informed that the lead BSO officer on the scene was Captain Jan Jordan.  She issued the order over the radio “need perimeter” which was in direct violation of policy and everything law enforcement knows about dealing with active shooters.

In the ensuing cluster-fuck of cowardice and incompetence that allowed Cruz to escape the scene and go for a beverage, we learned that Captain Jordan’s radio failed which caused her to lose command and control.  The BSO radio system failed before during a shooting at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport.  The radio system was never fixed.

Captain Jordan ordered Coral Springs Fire Rescue paramedics to stand down and not enter the school to attend to the wounded SIX TIMES.

In the days and weeks following the shooting, we learned that Captain Jordan was “handpicked” by Sheriff Scott Israel because they had worked together in the Fort Lauderdale police department.

Jordan was allowed to resign, and presumably keep her pension.

Now that Jordan is no longer a captain with the BSO, Sheriff and pile of shit in a green uniform Scott Israel said this:

Yep.

He didn’t handpick Jordan.  He just recommended her along with two others to Parkland, which had its own hiring board.

He recommended Jordan because somebody at Parkland wanted a badge in a skirt for some “diversity” points in what everyone though was going to be an easy gig.

See, it’s not his fault that Captain Jordan was a human fuck up who cost lives by being as inept and wrong as a person could be.  Parkland picked the wrong skirt to be their captain.

This is un-fucking-believably bad.

I think that Sheriff Israel thinks this  makes him look better.

It makes him look worse because he’s blaming Parkland and throwing the person he stood up for – until it was inconvenient to stand by her anymore –  under the bus.

And he’s still Sheriff of Broward County.

That county is a sewer.

Puck it, this is a dumb idea

Oakland University to fight shooters with hockey pucks

It’s a potential faceoff between bullets and thousands of hockey pucks at Oakland University.

The Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills university began equipping its faculty and some students with hockey pucks this month as a “last resort” precaution to throw at any active shooters on campus, officials say.

Oakland University Police Chief Mark Gordon said the idea emerged during a training session he was giving earlier this year on surviving an active shooter situation.

Gordon, a former youth hockey coach, said since the university has an ordinance against weapons, one attendee asked what staff and students could bring to prepare themselves for a fight. He recalled once being struck in the head with a puck and said it “caused a fair amount of damage to me.”

Well a slap shot in hockey will launch a puck at 100 mph.  If I am doing my math right, a 6 oz puck moving at 100 mph hits with an energy of 125 ft-lbs.

How fast can a student throw a hockey puck?  How much damage will that really do?

The university faculty union’s executive committee took part in one of the training sessions that included the concept in June and soon after, decided to begin purchasing and supplying the pucks, said Tom Discenna, president of the American Association of University Professors.

Discenna said he’d heard that tossing items — like billiard balls — at a possible assailant is well received in the law enforcement community, and when the chief suggested hockey pucks, the union decided to get on board.

This is dumber than the school in Pennsylvania that told students to throw rocks at a shooter.  At least the rocks are harder, heavier, and free.

We thought ‘yeah, that is something that we can do,'” he said. “We can make these available at least to our members and a fair number of students as well.”

So far, the union has spent $2,500 on an initial batch of pucks. Each costs 94 cents to make and they are printed with the union’s logo, Discenna said. They are being distributed for free.

Tuition money well spent.

The union began passing out the pucks on Nov. 9. So far, 800 faculty members have them, and another 1,700 are expected to go to students. The university’s student congress has ordered an additional 1,000, he said.

This has to be a conspiracy cooked up by the Puck industry and local law enforcement to rip off a college.  No school administrator can be this dumb on his own.

Gordon said there’s been no studies or research on it, but a puck is an adequate defense posture along with the use of chairs, staplers or anything else that has weight and can do damage.

Of course there have been no studies on this.  How could there be.

I want a grand from the Federal Government to determine what is the best sporting equipment to throw at an active shooter to stop a massacre.  More money well spent.

This effort, he said, will “empower faculty and students to have a plan to have something to defend themselves rather than just freezing in place.”

Ideally, Gordon said, dozens in a single classroom could be armed with pucks — or other objects — and could all throw them at the same time, if necessary.

A dozen hockey pucks.  Yep, that’s a fight stopper.

At least the students will feel empowered as they die.

Garry J. Gilbert, director of the journalism program at Oakland University, said when he first heard the idea, he was skeptical. But he signed up two weeks ago for the training held in a classroom on the university’s campus.

“My first reaction was: You are talking about facing an assault weapon and asking us to fight back with hockey pucks? It sounded silly,” Gilbert said. “Then I went through the training session, and it all made sense. None of us want to face an armed assailant. Students will look to us for leadership in a situation like that.”

In the training, Gilbert noted that the faculty was told to run first. If they can’t run then hide. And “then realize it’s in your classroom, you need to be prepared for a fight,” he said.

“If we have to do that (fight), Chief Gordon has shown us you can surprise or disarm an assailant with an object. Grab anything you’ve got … a stapler or book … anything you’ve got and be prepared and charge him,” he said. “Maybe he can be distracted by having things thrown at him, and you can limit injuries and loss of life. It won me over.

Those are great if you are not prepared.  If you are prepared bring something useful.

Gilbert said his wife, Holly Shreve Gilbert, who is also on the OU faculty as an adjunct journalism instructor, has a puck with her.

“We both said, ‘Let’s hope we never have to do this. If we fight back, this idea makes as much sense as anything else,'” he said.

No, it pucking doesn’t.

I have an idea of what works better than a hockey puck.  A 45 ACP.  That makes more sense.

Separately, the union is hoping the pucks can help bolster a fundraising campaign for interior door locks for university classrooms. Each one has an identification number for voluntary donations to the campaign. The union and student congress each have contributed $5,000 toward that initiative.

For pucks sake, they spent half that on the pucks.  I know you have to spend money to make money but this is just stupid.

“As far as the hockey pucks are concerned, I expect eventually we’ll run out of money to give them to people,” Discenna said. “Maybe students will buy their own. It’s just the idea of having something, a reminder that you are not powerless and you are not helpless in the classroom.”

At least one person understands this is a waste of resources.

All I learned in this article is not to send my kid to Oakland University.  The people who run that snowflake daycare have their heads up their asses.

If I was a professor and this is why my administration did to me, I’d invest in  deep carry.  Let them fire me after I stop a school shooter with a couple of well places shots.

One of David Hogg’s followers tells us what she really thinks of gun owners

This is one of the most elitist, condescending, and ignorant exchanges I’ve ever seen on Twitter.  Except for Kyle Kashuv, that is.

First it started with David Hogg having another one of this deep thoughts.

First of all, somebody needs to tell David Hogg that there already is a Federal Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax that is collected by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

The money is not spent on gun violence research, and I’d be offended if it was.

Cook County, Illinois, imposed a $25 per gun tax for guns sold in the county and called it a “violence tax.”  The purpose of the tax is “offsetting the high cost taxpayers shoulder as a result of gun violence.”

Essentially, Cook County demanded that hunters, sportsmen, target shooters, and law abiding gun owners who were buying guns and ammo in Cook County, showing their FOID cards and obeying the law, were paying into a fund to pay for the medical bills of all the gang members in Chicago who got shot.

It was, and still is, offensive as fuck.

This is what David Hogg wants to do at a Federal level.  Make law abiding gun owners pay for the rope used to hang them.

The Twitter thread that unraveled from Hoggs ignorance took a turn for the insane.

Working class people are too stupid and don’t have good enough jobs to be allowed to buy guns.

Also, why would anybody steal from them because the stuff they own is junk.

Kimberly is a member of the anti-Trump #Resistance in Jupiter Florida.

Jupiter is a resort town north of Palm Beach, right on the ocean, and has a median household income north of $70,000 per year.

But Kim’s total condescension towards the working class wasn’t the zenith of her idiocy.

This woman truly doesn’t understand the concept of the Bill of Rights or the Second Amendment.

Clearly in this woman’s mind, the Federal Government should make guns prohibitively expensive through taxes in order to keep the working classes from being able to buy guns because she thinks that they are too stupid to be allowed to have them, and that’s fine because the Second Amendment and the “right of the people to keep and bear arms” is just a privilege.

It’s not just about the guns.  It is that these people really hate you and think that you are just some untermensch who doesn’t deserve to have civil liberties.
