There seems to be a wee bit controversy about a picture posted by a boutique in Facebook.

There were some comments about the picture, specifically about the swimsuit and the company made the dumb decision to come back with an accusation of body shaming (shit you not.) And that opened the flood of comments hilarious comments and retorts by women! I am sure that the saltiest of men among us would not dare go that far.

These are only some I managed to clip before I had to give up. I was laughing so hard, I got belly cramps, There are at least ten thousand over four hundred thousand comments and sub-comments and simply I can’t keep up with them. If you feel brave, you can click here to see the post in Facebook.

It seems that are now beginning the 10th week of breaking stuff and eating tear gas.  Some people on our country are following the Yellow Vests as if they were some sort of followers of the Founding Fathers because they call themselves conservatives and the Media tagged them with te sobriquet of Right Wing. They are not.

After 50 years of social indoctrination that started back in May of 1968, what you are seeing is two versions of socialist going at each other. To frame it somehow, you are seeing a fight between Trotskyists and Stalinists with the latter being nicer than the originals.

What also gave me pause is the celebration of the display of “guillotines” as symbol of the Yellow Vest revolution.

If anything the French Revolution taught us was that the machine needs to be fed and it does not care about the guilt or innocence of the morsel they are about to slice. The same principle was applied later during the Stalinists purges: They ran out of enemies for the basements in Lubyanka and they stopped being choosy who they arrested and took for ballistic treatment to the back of the head.

So basically you have a confrontation you can watch for fun and not get mad if one side loses because both are from the same vein.

We (Magpul) yelled at our lobbyists to kill it. NSSF was trying to kill it. NRA was trying to kill it. But…Trump apparently dislikes two things in the firearms world: bumpfire stocks and elephant hunting, for reasons that are his own. So a veto was not happening. So…what’s your play? You can say “No bans, not one inch” and send out a fundraising email, and everyone would feel good about the NRA position, but the ban would have passed, and the Dems would potentially have everything they needed for a semi-auto ban already in law, ready to be interpreted nefariously

I am sharing this post because the author went in to do actually warfare and found out the reality of how the baloney is made. I have said since day one I am not a writer but a pamphleteer,  so maybe I am not coming across the right way and this article will clear things for you. Repealing the NFA, as much as I want that to die, has about 5% support in Congress right now. You’re not getting that legislatively unless you change out 95% of Congress, no matter how hard we could push for it, or how many “strong statements” anyone makes.

I want to once again repeat that we cannot hold ourselves hostages to NFA. If you measure the value of the NRA because of your ability to bet a MP-5 for $300 at your local Gun Show, you are setting you and everybody else for failure.

It is up to you.

Despite damage, Joshua Tree National Park stays open and will increase access during government shutdown

Joshua Tree National Park is named for the type of tree that grows exclusively in the Mojave desert of the United States, the Joshua Tree or Yucca brevifolia.

The trees in the park are protected.  During the shutdown, some assholes have gone in and damaged some of the trees.

According to the National Parks Traveler:

“There are about a dozen instances of extensive vehicle traffic off roads and in some cases into wilderness,” Smith replied when asked about the damage in the park. “We have two new roads that were created inside the park. We had destruction of government property with the cutting of chains and locks for people to access campgrounds. We’ve never seen this level of out-of-bounds camping. Every day use area was occupied every evening.

“Joshua trees were actually cut down in order to make new roads.”

“We had some pretty extensive four-wheel driving around the entire area to access probably our most significant tree in the park,” Smith said. “We have this hybrid live oak tree that is deciduous. It is one of our kind of iconic trees inside the park. People were driving to it and camping under it. Through the virgin desert to get to this location. That would probably be a quarter-mile or so around the rock formation that is there.”

Joshua Tree National Park is a climbers paradise and apparently many of the illegal roads were for climbers to get to more remote locations.  There was also some illegal four-wheeling in the park.

As someone who enjoys off-roading, this disgusts me.

There has been pretty much universal condemnation for the the individuals who have taken advantage of the reduced patrolling of the park to do damage.

These people should be investigated, found, prosecuted, and punished.

Then there are the wackos on the Left who want vigilante justice for the trees.

Barbara here is a Left wing economist who writes about evils of capitalism.

It’s a good thing that she doesn’t have a gun then.  Notice how she is prioritizing killing the people who cut down some trees.  Then she wants to kill the rest of us for… reasons, I guess.

This is clearly an unhinged woman who believes she can write all of what she sees as wrongs, by just shooting enough of the people she thinks are a problem.

Alone, that’s frightening, but her followers just pile on.

So these people believe it is morally justifiable to commit murder over some trees.

In the words of gamer and socialist, Tony Highwind, absolutely.

Nothing says socialism like putting people against a wall and shooting them.

This is why these people are so anti-gun so much of the time.  They know they can’t be trusted with guns, and they believe they are the good guys who are smarter and better than the rest of us, so clearly if they shouldn’t  have guns than the rest of us definitely shouldn’t.

I’m all for throwing people in prison for cutting down protected trees in a National Park.  Vigilante murder over trees is wrong.

Way back in the pre-woke days of 2000, Mel Gibson stared in a movie called What Women Want.

It’s actually a pretty good date movie.  It’s a funny romantic comedy, that isn’t sappy or stupid.  It’s the kind of date movie a man can sit through and enjoy.

The thing about this movie is that when Gibson starts to hear women’s thoughts, he becomes a better romantic partner and father.  His ad for women’s shoes is genuinely empowering and not pandering.  He is redeemed from being a womanizer to a decent person.

Eighteen years later, they expand on the franchise.

And…. men are totally disgusting.  They are misogynistic bigots inside, and the the feminists say about them is 100% true.  Also, when a guy has a normal thought about the hot girl that walks by, it is totally justified to strike him in the testicles with a cue stick.

This isn’t a date night movie, not for any man with self respect.

This is a girls night out movie where painfully single women and divorcees can drink box wine and cackle as they agree that all men are bastards.

I forget which commenter said it, but he is totally, 100% right.

This brand of feminism is the female version of incels, the only difference is that incels are not usually green-lit to turn their fantasies into studio productions.

This is  great movie directed by Milos Forman. The female vocalists in the movie have great songs and scenes.
