The next Florida School shooter is just planning away in safety.

It seems statistically hard to come up with any organizations as unlikely to take responsibility for anything as local school boards.  Want to guess how many school districts have decided to take advantage of the Guardian Program?  How many added specially trained security forces?  There are 67 counties in Florida; I’m not sure it’s always one school district in a county, but there’s at least one per county so it’s a good approximation.

Two.  Out of 67.  Call it 3%.  I’m sorry to say that my county isn’t even one of them

A Year After Parkland Shooting, Florida Students Are No Safer – The Silicon Graybeard

The school boards have chosen for the most part to remain soft targets. They never gave a damn about the kids’ safety because they are betting on nothing happening to them. And for the most part, they are right (except for the unlucky school that gets snake eyes) but the are salivating for their piece of half a billion dollars in funding assigned for “School Safety.” I can’t imagine what kind of influence  they can get spreading that money around.

Maybe the next shooter will forego the kids and go straight for the teachers. Maybe then they will change their tunes and allow real solutions.

Yeah, not happening.

We have met the enemy and she is in Congress

This will be the second Ilhan Omar post of the day.

Earlier today we were treated to Congresswoman Omar backing the mass murdering Venezuelan socialst dictator, Nicolas Maduro, over the elected head of the state assembly taking power in a Venezuelan constitutionally justified way, because Orange Man bad.

If that was the worst Ilhan Omar news of the day, falsely accusing the US of engaging in a coup against a socialist tyrant that has destroyed his country is pretty bad.

That’s not the worst Ilhan Omar news of the day.

Rep. Ilhan Omar asks judge for compassion in ISIS recruit sentencing

The Somali community of Minnesota has a problem with its young men.  They like to run off to join ISIS.

A group of nine Minnesotans from the Somali community were arrested, tried, and convicted for trying to obtain fake passports and travel to Syria to fight with ISIS against allied troop, among other terror related charges.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who has been celebrated as one of the new progressive firebrand freshmen Democrats, the first Somali-American in Congress, and the first woman to wear Hijab in Congress, decided to represent her constituents in the the best way she knows how.

To write a letter to the judge asking for leniency at sentencing.

Keep in mind these men were persistent in trying to join ISIS after the FBI had tried to stop them multiple times.

Honorable Judge Davis,

As you undoubtedly deliberate with great caution the sentencing of nine recently convicted Somali-American men, I bring to your attention the ramifications of sentencing young men who made a consequential mistake to decades in federal prison. Incarcerating 20-year-old men for 30 or 40 years is essentially a life sentence. Society will have no expectations of the to be 50 or 60-year-old released prisoners; it will view them with distrust and revulsion. Such punitive measures not only lack efficacy, they inevitably create an environment in which extremism can flourish, aligning with the presupposition of terrorist recruitment: “Americans do not accept you and continue to trivialize your value. Instead of being a nobody, be a martyr.”

They tried to join a group that captures women and girls, rapes them, and sells them into sex slavery, lights people on fire, chops off hands, makes snuff porn of slitting throats and cutting off heads, and throws gays off of buildings.

They were going to leave the safety and comfort of America to join this group to commit these atrocities.

A life sentence is more merciful than they deserve.

The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion. We must alter our attitude and approach; if we truly want to affect change, we should refocus our efforts on inclusion and rehabilitation. A long-term prison sentence for one who chose violence to combat direct marginalization is a statement that our justice system misunderstands the guilty. A restorative approach to justice assesses the lure of criminality and addresses it.

These poor boys only wanted to join a terrorist cell because they were the victims of marginalization in America.  It’s really the Unites State’s fault.

The desire to commit violence is not inherent to people — it is the consequences of systematic alienation; people seek violent solutions when the process established for enacting change is inaccessible to them.

The religion of peace… that flies planes into buildings, runs over people on sidewalks, stabs pregnant women and the elderly at bus stops, and bombs anywhere that people gather.  It’s not that inherent violence, it’s that they are the victims of American oppression.

Fueled by disaffection turned to malice, if the guilty were willing to kill and be killed fighting perceived injustice, imagine the consequence of them hearing, “I believe you can be rehabilitated. I want you to become part of my community, and together we will thrive.” We use this form of distributive justice for patients with chemical dependencies; treatment and societal reintegration. The most effective penance is making these men ambassadors of reform.

I think she misspelled “terrorist recruiters.”

The restorative approach provides a long-term solution – though the self-declared Islamic State may soon suffer defeat, their radical approach to change-making will continue as it has throughout history – by criminalizing the undergirding construct rather than its predisposed victims. Therein, this ruling can set a precedent and has the potential to be a landmark case in addressing extremism.

Calling bombings, torture, and mass murder a “radical approach to change-making” is one hell of a euphemism.

See, the best way to fight radical ideological terrorism is to give the potential terrorists a slap on the wrist.  Go woke, go broke.  And by broke I mean blown the hell up.

Thank you for your careful attention,

Ilhan Omar
State Representative-Elect – MN 60B

Remember, these guys were going overseas to try and kill US troops.

A member of Congress wants the judge to take it easy on people who tired to join a foreign terrorist cell that kills American military personnel.

At what point does the word “treason” stop being hyperbole and becomes an indictment.

We have met the enemy and she is the duly elected representative from the state of Minnesota to the United States House of Representatives.

You are going the wong way about this.

This happened in Alabama.

Instead oF DO NOT APPROACH, I would go with HAPPY HUNTING!

I’d bet you he would tun himself in rather fast. You can pull that crap in NYC or L.A but Alabama?

Some investigate journalism of my own

The President called out CNN for their coverage of the arrest of Roger Stone on Twitter.  CNN Responded.

I agree with Miguel on his post.

This was collusion between the #Resistance wing of the FBI and CNN to embarrass Roger Stone, and by extension, Donald Trump.

The perp walk was a Rudy Giuliani tactic back when he was a US Attorney for embarrassing white collar criminals.  It was said me “made an art form out of it.”  The millionaire criminals he arrested could afford the best lawyers to make sure they ended up only paying minimum fines, but the sight of them being taken out of their offices in handcuffs on live TV was the kind of embarrassment that hurt them, and got their country club memberships revoked.

This was the perp walk cranked to 11.

CNN’s Brian Stelter is maintaining that CNN catching this was nothing but good journalism.

Here is some good journalism for you.

Watch CNN.  In the coming months I can all but guarantee you, they will have a new “law enforcement expert” talking head with a high six figure salary, who is also a recently retired high ranking FBI official.

Somebody should ask that expert how he was so lucky to land that job.

Representative Ilhan Omar is a thouroughly Stupid Broad.

I should have gone with bitch instead of broad, but female dogs are smart. Where do I start?

Coup? Who is doing the coup? The remnants of Blackwater? The Wild Geese? The Dogs of War? I ask because the Venezuelan Armed Forces were pretty much filtered of anybody not loyal to the Chavez Revolution over a decade ago. Any officer above Major has been thoroughly vetted by both the Venezuela and Cuban intelligence apparatus.

Far Right Opposition? Who? Because the last of the Militaristic Right died in 1958 and every government since has been one of hyphen-Social-hyphen of some kind. For God’s sake the first elected president after 1958 was Romulo Betancourt who was one of the founders of the Communist Party of Venezuela and threw a coup attempt under the Red Banner. He got elected under the Social-Democrat colors. Hugo Chavez received the presidency from President Rafael Caldera who was the leader of the Social-Christian party of Venezuela. Basically Venezuela was Sweden when it come to its politics: Buch of semi-socialists sucking the Petrodollars.

Political dialogue is established between to parties under good faith. That has not applied in Venezuela for many years now. Maduro will do the basic steps to dog-and-pony show he is complying with the dialogue and ignoring it at the same time because he is got the power of the gun. Why would he be so stupid as to make concessions? Fucker’s got his pockets lined and can ignore “sanctions” all he wants, plus now he has the backing of the new breed of congress-idiots in Washington who care more about  stick it to the President than seeking a real solution for Venezuela. Fuck, I am sure this falafel-eater did not now what Venezuela was till the President tweeted about not recognizing Maduro and then she had to say something to oppose him rather than finding out what is the problem in a country I bet she thinks is 20 miles south of Cancun and probably a cool place for Spring Break.

PS:If you feel offended by the way I name-called Congresscritter Omar, I can only tell you Thank You!
