When I was a kid (here I go being old fart again) libraries were places of wonder. And for a bookworm like me? The proverbial candy store. Yu had to follow a code of conduct: Be quiet, be respectful to other patrons, the staff and specially the books, no silly behavior. You got two shushes tops as warning and the third was expulsion from the Library.

Earlier I bumped into this article from October of last year: Company to Supply Free Narcan to Libraries. I knew libraries were having a “homeless” (AKA junkies) problem that, but Narcan? And then I read this passage.

DPL (Denver Public Library) administered Narcan 14 times that year and a handful of times so far in 2018. “Those are lives we saved,” she says. “These things can and do happen at libraries because libraries are very public places.”

Once a temple of knowledge is now a location where junkies can come and get their fix and if they OD, the helpful librarian will resuscitate you with Narcan so you can continue shoving a needle up your arm.

That is progress in some circles, I guess.

Miguel has brought up that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez was invited to tour some of the concentration camps (twice) that have been turned into museums and memorials to get a better understanding of the enormity of that history.

She decided to turn that invitation down, and in just such a classy way too.

Steve King may be sort of a piece of shit, but he wasn’t the one who invited her.  That is clear from his wording “Please accept their offer.”

She received separate invitations from Polish MP and vice-president of the European Conservatives Dominik Tarczynski to visit concentration camps in Poland, from From the Depths which is a Holocaust educational group, and from Americans Against Antisemitism.

None of these individuals or groups are Steve King.

For her to ignore all that and respond only to King and turn down the invitations and claim the moral high ground saying that the far right is engaged in political manipulation shows just how much of a dishonest piece of shit she is.

I thought that she was done when Cuomo and Schumer got burned on billions in tax dollars from Amazon HQ2 by her and they told Pelosi to muzzle her stupid face.

This is way beyond that.

Clearly, this girl thinks she is untouchable.

Why has a book of this importance that came out in its original language in 1995 was never translated and published into English till this year? Because it was embarrassing to the West to have to admit they have been infiltrated all along by Moscow.

I am just a few pages in, but I already know that th Communist Party of the United States was getting yearly six figure contributions from the USSR from a department created for nothing more than influence elections in Western countries. That sounds like ….what’s the word I am looking for? Oh yes! Collusion! The department was ran by one Anatoly Dobrynin who was Ambassador to the US and admired and wooed by the Media and the Left for being enlightened and Pro Western.

Over and over again, the anti-gun Left accuses us gun owners, especially those of us who don’t want to give up our assault rifles and/or are vocal about the Second Amendment of being a bulwark against tyranny, of being insurrectionists.

Then the Trump Administration announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement would conduct raids and deport 2,000 illegal immigrants who were ordered to be deported by judges for non-compliance with immigration law.

“All of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and – if found removable by final order – removal from the United States,” an Ice spokesman said.

These were people who were ordered to appear at court to present their cases to stay in the United States.  They failed to appear in court, so were ordered for deportation.  These people entered the country illegally and then broke the law again.

It’s not unlike failing to show up at traffic court.  You are going to be found in fault and probably a bench warrant issued for your arrest.  Except in this case, what is on the line is your ability to stay in the US.

For rational Americans, when the situation is explained like that, the deportation order makes sense.

You can’t just brazenly violate the law and expect to get away with it forever.

For the radical Left, that is racism, bigotry, and the kind of dehumanizing behavior that is only seen in Nazi Germany.  Consequently, it must be resisted at all costs.

He was not the only legislator to be this dumb.

She is advocating having people hide their illegal immigrant neighbors who have violated the law and were ordered for deportation by a judge.

She is really pushing the Holocaust similarity here she imagines woke Leftists hiding illegals like the family of Anne Frank from ICE.  Does she realize what she is telling followers to do is harbor fugitives

It wasn’t just the resistance in Congress that decided to announce their intentions to resist the law.  Several city and state governments have as well.

CA will always defend the rights of our immigrant communities.

These raids were supposed to be unannounced for the safety and security of the ICE agents carrying them out.

When the governor of California goes to Twitter to announce these raids, he’s putting ICE agents at risk and making it harder for them to arrest the people they have warrants for.

This undermines the lawful law enforcement actions of the Federal government.

Chicago also resisted ICE.

So Chicago won’t help ICE at all, even in identifying illegal immigrant criminal gang members.

Guess, by the way, who is responsible for the second highest number of shooting in the Chicago area?

So with over 200 homicides to date, why would the city want to get rid of its illegal immigrant gang member?  I guess the new mayor wants to set a new homicide record for the year.

We gun owners are told we are dangerous people, who love our guns so much we don’t care who gets killed, just for the fantasy of being insurrectionists.

Then the Left decides it loves illegal immigrant criminals (including gang members) so much, they are going to resist Federal law enforcement doing their job of enforcing the law and keep Americans safe.

So tell me again, who are the real insurrectionists?

Amazingly what the stupidly self-righteous keep doing. This came out after the first batch of complains for doing stupid comparisons between Illegals voluntarily coming into the country and being detained  and the forced transportation and  mass extermination of Jews and other minorities in concentration camps. And the invitation by a Polish lawmaker to visit real concentration camps which as far as I know, she has not deigned to RSVP.

And Trump backing down on the deportations is gonna make this bunch of political harpies even bolder, lauder and stupider. And I expect attacks on the Border Patrol and ICE agents on this side of the fence too as not only they are not liked by the Left, there is already precedent they don’t give a crap about if they are killed by the policies they institute. You can always ask the family of Brian Terry about that.

As you probably know, the NRA is in a legal fight with is outside marketing firm, Ackerman-McQueen. The fight has escalated and gotten really nasty. There are lots of accusations flying, document leaks, etc.

I thought I had recognized the name of the NRA’s outside counsel on this, which is where the friend comes in. Should we be concerned that the NRA’s lawyer has donated to a slate of anti-gun Democrats?

So, just so we are clear, the NRA’s top outside lawyer is the son-in-law and brother-in-law of the top executives of the company the NRA is fighting and the guy is also a huge donor to anti-gun Democrats. What the hell is going on? This just sounds so incestuously corrupt.

Hey NRA, This Seems Like a Really Big Deal

Call me eccentric, call me revolutionary, but if I select a lawyer or any other professional, my main preoccupations i if he or she is good. Will this person get me what I need and want? Will this person win my case? As I replied in the tweet,  I don’t care if the guys worships the devil and wears red pumps but I will take him is he is good.

You know who demanded political loyalty? Hugo Chavez when assigning  posts in his  government. He remove the best and brightest from the Venezuela’s Oil Company and substituted them with those who passed the political purity tests and faithful obedience to the revolution. I do not need to tell you how’s Venezuela doing, right?

Now, if you tell me this guy sucks as a lawyer and show me his record of failures, then we have a valid argument for his rejection. Other than that, please spare me the application of Socialist policies in the selection of professionals.
