Just add all the assumptions Swalwell is doing about Hispanics.

– We are too dumb to understand the laws.
– He thinks we will become violent against Trump on his command like we were his puppets.
– All of us are Democrats.
How many Hispanics does Swalwell employ? Besides the maid and landscapers, the token ones in his staff? Compare that against all the Hispanics that Trump has been employing for years just in El Doral and Mar Largo in South Florida which are probably more than the amount of Hispanics that attend 50 Swalwell’s rallies.
He cannot be that stupid (I may be very wrong) and figure he has a chance to even appear in the polls. I guess he is doing a Bernie Sanders and getting the down payment for his next home via campaign donations.

I think he’s trying to apply an optimization approach. The problem for him is, he’s in a flat portion of parameter (or issue, in this case) space, so he’s flailing about in all directions trying to find something that leads “up.” I’ll bet as soon as he finds anything – anything at all – that even hints at getting traction, he’ll go all-in in that direction.
So far, he thought he found that with guns, but it turned out to be a local maximum, and now he’s trying to get himself to the next highest hummock in issue space.
The closer we get to election day the more stuff like this will be standard. Buckle up kiddos, sh*t’s about to take off.
Usual procedure is for the Dems to try to out radical each other before the convention to get the nom; then they suddenly pretend to be moderates for the actual election.
This usually actually works for them- the media (and typical spineless Repub candidate) will often never call them out on it.

I don’t get why Democrats are not called out more for assuming every Hispanic person in the country is an illegal Mexican? It’s horrendously bigoted.
Then again they also get away with assuming that every black person who isn’t an actor or professional athlete is on welfare.
