Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition: Repealing a provision relating to the preemption of the field of regulation of firearms and ammunition to the Legislature, to the exclusion of local jurisdictions, etc.

790.33 Field of regulation of firearms and ammunition preempted.—
(1) PREEMPTION.—Except as expressly provided by the State Constitution or general law, the Legislature hereby declares that it is occupying the whole field of regulation of firearms and ammunition, including the purchase, sale, transfer, taxation, manufacture, ownership, possession, storage, and transportation thereof, to the exclusion of all existing and future county, city, town, or municipal ordinances or any administrative regulations or rules adopted by local or state government relating thereto. Any such existing ordinances, rules, or regulations are hereby declared null and void.
….
(b) It is further the intent of this section to deter and prevent the violation of this section and the violation of rights protected under the constitution and laws of this state related to firearms, ammunition, or components thereof, by the abuse of official authority that occurs when enactments are passed in violation of state law or under color of local or state authority.

Fancy to know they have a bill designed to eliminate the wording acknowledging that as Floridians and as Americans we have inalienable Rights and they don’t care about them.

Florida Gun Rights 2020 – SB 134 – Eliminating State Preemption on Firearms and Ammunition -VERY BAD BILL

Concealed Weapons or Concealed Firearms Licensing: Requires applicant to have undergone mental health evaluation & been determined to be competent or provide letter from specified profession as to competency.
In the Criminal Justice Subcommittee, Judiciary Committee and Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee.

Another bill with the intention to make you stop getting or renewing your license by adding layers of bureaucratic crap and expenses in your path.  With more than 4 millions licenses issued since the Shall Issue system began and only one third of one percent of licenses suspended permanently, this is a solution to a problem nobody is asking.  But if you are a Gun Nut, that is proof enough in some circles that you should not carry. Now mix that with Red Flags and we have us a major problem down the road.

They hit him with a chair in the head.  He keeps going after yelling at them.  The attackers turn around and charge him and one punches him in the head.

IANAL and I’m not giving legal advice.

I’m saying (assuming that this happened not in NYC) that after being hit by a chair and having those same people charge at me from behind is the second my muzzle clears leather.

At that moment, it seems clear that someone who already assaulted you with an object wants to finish the job of severely hurting or killing you.

When your gun comes out you must be prepared and justified to shoot, but you don’t necessarily have to.  If those thugs stopped and ran away at the sight of the gun, you saved yourself without firing a shot.

I’d still call the police and report everything that happened, just as I would for a defensive shoot, but then explain that as soon as I got my gun out they turned around a ran.  Especially in this day and age where there are cameras everywhere.  I think this video would be conclusive proof that the Jewish man felt an imminent threat of death or grievous bodily harm, considering he had already been attacked once and they were coming back for a second blow.

I’m just glad that this man survived his punch to the head.  This blog has documented many case where a single punch to the skull was fatal.
