From what I have gathered so far, bad guys attempted a kidnapping, police caught up and shooting ensued with the added joy of a grenade going off inside the bad guys’ car. One cop died and four civilians got hit by stray gunfire including a young girl who got a bullet fragment embedded in her cheekbone.

Katie Hill to publish memoir ‘She Will Rise’

Former Rep. Katie Hill (D-Calif.) is writing a memoir, titled “She Will Rise,” that will recount the struggles and ultimately the scandal that pushed the freshman representative to resign from Congress late last year.

Hill resigned after being in office less than 10 months after nude photos of her were released online without her consent and allegations that she had an inappropriate sexual relationship with one of her staffers led the House to open an ethics probe.

Before she resigned, Hill gave an impassioned speech on the House floor which quickly went viral.

Hill’s book, scheduled to hit shelves Aug. 18, is being published by Neon Literary, a new publishing company that was just started in December, according to The New York Times.

Hill told the Times that she wants her book to serve as an example to women that they can own their mistakes and still come back from them.

Katie Hill is 32 years old.  She was an executive for a non-profit that was supposed to provide supportive services for the homeless in LA.

That organization did a terrible job of taking care of the homeless, but a great job at lining the homeless services’ executives’ pockets and giving Hill a platform to run for Congress.

After 10 months, she was forced to resign after it came out that she had a sexual affair with a paid staffer, possibly a sexual affair with another paid staffer, and that she used campaign funds to pay him a bonus.

This precipitated a House Ethics Committee investigation, causing Hill to resign her seat.

She then went on a speaking tour to explain how the reason she had to step down in disgrace wasn’t that she violated multiple house rules on both sexual conduct and proper use of campaign funds, but anti-bisexual bigotry.

Now she has a book deal.

I wonder how much she is being paid for her book.

For that matter, I wonder what she has accomplished that is worthy of a book.

I think the answers to my questions are: too much and not enough.

I doubt the book will be a big seller in actual numbers, but it will probably get loud support from the #Resistance.

I see this as nothing but another Democrat failing upwards.  A Left-leaning publisher is going to lose money but is happy to do it to bankroll someone in the #Resistance.  No different than the $600,000 sinecure Chelsea Clinton got at NBC or the $9 million sinecures she had on various corporate boards.

When you are a Democrat who said the right things and has the right connections, there is no limit to the success you can achieve by failing.

You are at home, your castle, with your family and suddenly this crap starts to happen outside after 9 pm.

It is 100% intimidation knowing that at most they are gonna be charged with a disturbing the peace misdemeanor and walk away to do it again, specially under California’s new bail and sentencing guidelines. Hell, after the first call, I doubt cops would even bother to show up again.

History changes little. There is always one group that enjoys intimidating people with their night time antics.

5 killed in shooting at MolsonCoors campus in Milwaukee; gunman also dead

Five people were killed in a shooting at the MolsonCoors headquarters in Milwaukee on Wednesday, police said.

The Milwaukee Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the area just after 2 p.m. local time and found the suspect, a 51-year-old Milwaukee man, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities also found five employees of the “old Miller brewery” killed in the attack, Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said.

The chief didn’t give a motive for the shooting but did say no others were injured in the attack.

It is being rumored on the internet that the shooter was a former employee.  MolsonCoors has been undergoing layoffs as part of a corporate restructuring.

This is terrible.

That didn’t stop Politico and MSNBC reporter Zach Everson from making it worse by being a piece of shit.

What does this 34-year-old ad have to do with today’s shooting?

Abso-fucking-lutely nothing.  Nothing at all.

Except that someone in Everson’s perverted mind, it must justify why five innocent employees were killed in the facility.

We know nothing about the shooter.  We know nothing about his background or how he got his gun.  We know nothing about why he went on his rampage.

But some professional anal fistula wanted to blame Peter Coors and the NRA for it.

This is not journalism.  This is a sickness brought on by hate.

These sorts of anti-gun people are not our moral superiors, they are angry human garbage.

I just posted about the Fixing of the Church Carry Bill in the Florida legislature and I learned a couple of things about public testimony.

1- You can read a statement. I guess they understand you cannot memorize so reading is accepted, but be understood, read with clarity.
2- Don’t bullshit the legislators.  You have a chance to speak with them, they get a chance to rebut you if they think you need it and they will make you look stupid. Don’t say that you know something will happen for sure if you don’t, I don’t care if it is the tenets of your political club. And that leads to…
3- Know your shit. If you say stupid and lying shit, get rebutted and asked a question and you just stutter while your brain is trying to fabricate a response, you are screwed. And if you start to repeat parts of the original statement.. Oy Vey Bubba, they have your ass in a platter. If you don’t know the answer, do so politely. Better yet, be very prepared and expect being grilled.
4- Control your emotions and face. Don’t look like a kicked puppy or like a hurt bitch who would like to claw their eyes out. You are being streamed into the webs and generally legislators do not like to be eye-fucked.
(Eye fuck: (slang, vulgar) To stare at, especially at something or someone with which one has a hostile relationship.)
