Month: April 2020

This is why you should not allow Democrats win elections.

ALBANY – New York had its most deadly night due to the coronavirus, prompting Gov. Andrew Cuomo to say Friday he will call in the National Guard to take unused ventilators and supplies to redistribute them to the places of greatest need.
New York had a shocking 562 deaths overnight — an average of 23 deaths an hour — as the total number of deaths in the state due to COVID-19 hit 2,935, Cuomo announced.
“You had more death, you had more people coming into hospitals than any other night,” he said somberly.
In response, Cuomo said he will sign an executive order that will allow the National Guard to go to hospitals and health-care facilities to take unused ventilators and other medical supplies so they can be used in parts of the state in desperate need of more resources.

NY Gov. Cuomo Orders National Guard to Seize Ventilators

Now, just a quick reminder that the New York mentioned by Cuomo is not the whole state he is governor of but good ole Gotham where his voting block resides. He clearly can’t send the National Guard outside state’s border and pilfer medical supplies in Jersey or Pennsylvania; he is gonna ransack hospitals of cities in the state of new York.

And in TOTALLY UNRELATED news: Dear New Yorkers, that is not how you do social distancing. I mean, that close of a distance infected people will transfer the sickness to others who may end up getting very sick and in need to be taken to a hospital where they may end up connected to a ventilator which apparently are in short supply for reasons unknown.

Florida’s COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard

It is quite an interesting tool, of course only as good as the data it gets.

It is brought to you by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection… that is a mouthful.

And the most interesting and eye opening thing in this map is the “Cases by Zip Code” tab located at the bottom.  See how is your neighborhood stacking and if you should wear shorts and sandals or full NBC suit.
I checked my neighborhood and  I am not getting out of this house without a flamethrower and an industrial  sprayer full of bleach: 230 cases in mine and surrounding Zip Codes.

PS:  In Google, ask “how many people in zip code xxxxx” and you will get an number. Plan accordingly.

Your funny read for the day: Badass of the Week – The RCGS Resolute

The moral of the story here is that when you’re packing large-bore artillery on the front of your warship you should probably practice social distancing and use the big guns first, before you decide to ram a fucking ship that has two bars and a jacuzzi on board.

Badass of the Week – The RCGS Resolute

Great description of the events and you get a good chuckle from it too.

Report from Wally World

The Missus went shopping and snapped this photo. Social distancing is being observed with a lot of people doing the glove & mask thing.  I guess they are doing controlled entrance.

And once again, politeness is the norm all throughout the land .

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Customers have filed thousands of complaints about price gouging in Texas since the start of the pandemic.

But a North Texas company has angered customers both locally and nationally.

Dozens of customers have filed complaints about Cheaper Than Dirt, an online firearm and ammunition seller based in Fort Worth.

“I was looking at getting about a thousand rounds of their .223 ammo, which is normally around $300, but their price was $1,000,” said Kyle Wiggs, who filed a price gouging complaint.

North Texas Gun, Ammo Seller Hit With Dozens Of Price Gouging Complaints From Customers

The problem we have in the Gun Community is that we do no communicate well. Every time that we have a panic spree, CTD goes into Robber Baron mode and people bitch but still buy and then keep rewarding the bad behavior when the panic is over by continuing to buy from them.

On its Facebook page, the store issued a statement that partially read, “Those who did not plan….will run into limited supplies, higher prices, and stress.”

One thing I have never seen CTD (maybe I missed it) is complaining that ammunition manufacturers double or tripled the price so they cannot sell them at the same old prices. Probably they can’t say it because other ammo sellers are not tagging their merchandise that high, but I am just speculating here.

Simply stop buying from the assholes or take up reloading.

Work for Bloomberg, get discarded. (Par for the course)

Reader Scrappycrow sent me this one:

When Amol Jethwani interviewed for a job on Mike Bloomberg’s presidential campaign in December, the benefits were unlike anything he had heard of for political campaign field workers.

“They offered an incredible benefits package, which is unheard of for field staff, offering $8,000 a month for a regional role in addition to health care, technology, laptops, cellphones,” said Jethwani.

Bloomberg also offered something else: a job through the general election, even if he was not the Democratic Party’s nominee. Jethwani signed on as a regional organizing director. As part of his job, he interviewed potential field staffers, giving them the same assurances. “That employment is guaranteed through November, location is not,” Jethwani said.

‘Mike Borrowed My Credibility And Abused It’: Fired Bloomberg Campaign Workers Speak

” employment is guaranteed through November” .. OK yes but, was there a contract signed? No? What the hell were you expecting from a know corrupt asshole like Mini Mike? But that is the way his organizations work. Some of you may remember three years ago when complains came out of Moms Demand because Shannon thought she was going to be anointed a Representative, she started to treat her staff like shit and pretty much abandoning Moms Demand as she was being groomed to climb the political ladders. People in the organization left because they were pissed they were used and they took a hit. Unfortunately for Shannon, the seat in Colorado went to a long time Democrat and the she was ignored. My feeling is, she got traded by a newer model called AOC. Don’t quote me on this one.

And we are still waiting for the horror stories that will surely will come about Bernie Bros selling mom’s jewelry or not making mortgage payments so they could donate (unknowingly) to Bernie’s future Miami condo.
